It is an ideal location for a base camp to hike many sections of the AT. We use Boots Off Hostel less than a mile down the road to shuttle us to and from various trail heads.The host is very quick to answer questions. The outside porches are wonderful for relaxing. It is located on a very busy highway that is on a downslope. There’s a lot of traffic especially heavy truck traffic that use Jacob brakes when descending the hill and are extremely loud. Overall it was a nice place to stay, with close access to the lake. The only gripes we had, were, the full bed was kinda stiff and uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the twin beds the second night. And we had to fuss with the modem a bit to use the Wifi. ##### Ethan E.
