This was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed through VRBO. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and had towels neatly placed on the beds. The showers were equipped with hair and body products, providing everything you could need. The kitchen was beautiful and the products within it covered all of the bases. This home had plenty of things to do and the pool and foosball tables were a great way to stay entertained. As well, the hot tub was a much needed amenity that was used frequently. Overall, the communications with the host and the quality of the stay exceeded our expectations and we would be pleased to stay here again!

This is a wonderful place for a group of people to stay! Clean and all the amenities anyone would need. A beautiful house, property and area. We had a wedding gathering so it was great to take pictures, use the hot tub and overall just a wonderful place to stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing, private, enjoyable place don’t hesitate. It's a beautiful location. The property is very large. It would accommodate a family very easily and comfortably. Very beautiful property. The only drawback was the lake. It was an extremely dry summer this year in Nova Scotia. The lake area accessible from the property was approximately 4" deep. I was told, when I enquired about the property, that you could swim in the lake. Obviously weather conditions are beyond the owners control. But, renters should be informed of a change in the properties description and amenities.

We had an amazing stay at this property! It's a beautiful home, with lots of space, perfect for our extended family. It's a great location, in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful nature, and only a short drive from downtown Halifax and many other top locations like Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, etc. The home was impeccably clean, well maintained and beautifully furnished. The outdoor space is also lovely. Doris was easy to communicate with and was very helpful throughout our stay. We look forward to returning some day. I highly recommend staying here!

Fabulous family retreat

This home was perfect for our family reunion. Lots of space, everything we needed to prepare meals, and even a crib and high chair for our 9 month old great grand child! The hot tub, chess board, pool table, fuzz ball table and dart board provided lots of interaction opportunities … including a high spirited two team tournament on Saturday night.The location was perfect for our purpose as my son and his wife flew in to join us for the weekend and the rest of us just drove over from PEI. We’re hoping to make it an annual event.

Group stay

We had a wonderful weekend stay. The home is spacious and very well laid out. Our group loved to gather in the kitchen and main livingroom area and had a movie night on our second night in the basement, really great set up for a bigger group! Hot tub is a lovely bonus, we didn't have the chance to walk down to the lake but we enjoyed the view from the deck and dinning room. The home has really nice furniture which isn't always the case in short term rentals! Host was quick to respond to any messages and very accommodating for our group. Will stay here again!

Home away from home

Doris is a great host! The property is exactly as advertised. Our family was in the area as our son was competing in a tournament. Some items that I found useful that the host includes; q-tips & makup wipes. We spent a lot of time cooking and we really appreciated the quality of the nonstick cookwear. We used the fridge on the lower level for drinks. The beds and pillows were all comfortable. The showers all had great water pressure. The kids enjoyed the pool table, dart board and watching the fish from the dock. The yard is fenced if you are traveling with small children. One little highlight is we were visted by deer in the front yard. Book here knowing the home will meet your expectations. mQtipmakuprem
