Gorgeous, comfortable holiday house
A great place to relax and unwind for either a short or long stay. Is within an easy five minute walk to all local community clubs (golf club, boat club and combined sports club), general store, cafe and fish and chip shop. Local museum is open daily.
The harbour provides a great place to swim with good fishing for the kids at the wharf or if it's 'real fishing' you prefer, the charter boats leave from the local wharf too.
Renowned Te Puia Hot Springs are within 5 mins drive and are certainly worth a visit..

Been to Kawhia a few times and stayed at the camp grounds. With parents wanting to join I wanted to find somewhere close and homey! Excellent central location, all the ammenities and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for escaping the busy city life.

Lovely Stay
Thank you, Patsy, for another great stay. Your home is in such a beautiful spot, and we really enjoyed it. It was a bit of a shame that some parts of the oven didn’t work since we were baking a lot over the weekend. But we still had a good time and really appreciated being able to check out later. I’d happily recommend your place to other families.

We had a great stay at Pete's place. We have a baby and a toddler and very house friendly for them too. Clean and tidy house. Lovely outdoor area (big lawn and covered deck). Patsy was a great host.

Great back for a weekend getaway
We loved our stay in Kawhia. The bach is in a great location, within walking distance to the shops and cafes as well as the boat ramp. There is loads of off street parking with enough room for the boat. We had everything we needed and Patsy just a phone call away. Thank you!

Kawhia House
To be honest, compared to the other 3 places we stayed on our 2 week holiday on the north island of NZ, I found it was over priced by 30-50% for the property condition, amenities, and location. (location would be good, if you like fishing)
The host was very nice and helpful, but the house for the money needs updating, or renting price needs to be reduced
