Ollywood Vacation Apartment: Unspoiled Nature in the Westerwald, Sleeps 2–4

Welcome to the beautiful Westerwald!

Our vacation rental is located near Halbs, a small village between Westerburg and Bad Marienberg. The apartment features 1 bedroom, 1 large bathroom, 1 large living/dining area with a kitchen, as well as a storage closet and a hallway.

From the Limburg, Montabaur, and Herborn highway exits, it’s a 25 km–30 km drive to the vacation rental.

The apartment is located on the first floor of a two-family home and is accessible via a separate entrance. A lovely outdoor seating area with a fenced-in garden, complete with seating and barbecue facilities, invites you to relax and unwind. Parking is readily available.

The quiet location outside of town, directly adjacent to the nature reserve, ensures a pleasant and relaxing stay. Numerous hiking and biking trails are within easy reach. Bicycles can be rented from us.

Numerous other recreational activities can be found in the immediate vicinity.
Lake Wiesensee, 4 km away, offers numerous recreational opportunities such as windsurfing, sailing, and swimming. Golfers will also find plenty to enjoy here on a well-maintained 18-hole golf course.

Bad Marienberg features a beautiful wildlife park with an observation tower, a large children’s playground, a well-developed climbing forest, a fitness trail, and excellent dining options. You can also play mini-golf, walk along a barefoot trail, or visit the recreational pool with its sauna village.

In winter, ski lifts in Bad Marienberg and Höhn (about 9 and 6 km away) and groomed cross-country ski trails in the immediate vicinity invite you to enjoy the snow.

A ride in one of our vintage Cadillac cars through the beautiful Westerwald can be a highlight of your stay.

We’d also be happy to organize sightseeing flights over the region from the nearby sports airfield in Ailertchen, as well as tandem skydives, for you.

You can visit a movie theater and explore the beautiful historic town center with its castle in Hachenburg, located about 15 km away.

Not far from Hachenburg, the Marienstadt Monastery is also worth a visit, with its adjacent beer garden and numerous hiking trails.

The wild and romantic Holzbach Gorge is about 6 km away. A circular hike showcases the full beauty of this gorge, which the Holzbach River has carved out over time and which is one of the region’s most popular attractions.

Other attractions and recreational options include, for example, the Stöffelpark, the Westerwald Lake District, the Druidenstein, ceramics museums, the Krombachtalsperre, and much more.

We’d be delighted to serve as your starting point for many wonderful activities that will make your vacation in the beautiful Westerwald an unforgettable experience.

Our services include breakfast eggs from our free-range chickens. One of our peacocks also enjoys welcoming our guests with its song.

Your dogs are also very welcome here. A flat fee of 20 euros is charged for the entire stay.

Short-term stays are possible by prior arrangement.
