Island Tower has a newly renovated exterior, and indoor and outdoor pools. Island Tower is located on West Beach Blvd. in the heart of Gulf Shores within walking distance to the Hangout and Gulf Shores Beach Park, restaurants such as Bahama Bobs, or for pizza or ice cream across the street. This individual condo on the 22nd floor has 9-foot ceilings throughout and as been renovated with beautiful, calming beach-colored walls, has new kitchen cabinets and appliances, including a stand-alone icemaker, ensuring plenty of ice for those hot summer days on the beach. The large U-shaped kitchen with undercounter lighting is equipped with most everything you will need to prepare a wonderful meal. You can sit and eat at our beautiful quartz counter height bar with 4 stools or at the dining table with 6 chairs. The bar also has a convenient pop-up outlet for you to plug in your phones, computers, etc. Free wi-fi is included. This 22nd floor non-smoking condo is on the east corner with breathtaking views of white, sandy beaches and sparkling water so clear you can see the dolphins and an occasional shark! Floor-to-ceiling view of ocean and front balcony access from Living Room and Master Bedroom. The large front balcony includes a high-top table and 4 chairs for an unobstructed view of the water, plus new comfortable seating including a cushioned sofa and 2 swivel rockers plus a coffee table for the convenience of placing your drinks, snacks, etc. while you relax, visit with friends or loved ones. Enjoy privacy with no other guests at the same height as we are (22nd floor, east side) to view the beautiful surroundings. The building has only 3 units per floor, and the balconies are completely separated from each unit. Our unit has access to a 2nd balcony from the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms with seating to enjoy the view of ocean and lagoon. Our condo has 3 Bedrooms and 3 baths. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, with a 42'' flat screen TV. The master bath has a jacuzzi tub and a separate walk-in shower. The 2nd bedroom has a king-sized bed with its own private bath with shower-tub combo, direct access to the east side balcony, and a 32" flatscreen TV. The 3rd bedroom has a queen-sized bed, 32" flat screen TV, and also has direct access to the east side balcony. It has access to the hall bath directly across from it with a tub-shower combo. New mattresses were purchased for all three beds just recently. We have a new sleeper sofa and 2 new swivel rocker-recliners in the Living Room. There is a queen-sized air mattress and a twin-sized fold out mattress for more extra sleeping space. We have a laundry room with washer and dryer. You will find a container above the washer with 4 beach towels for your use during your stay. You will also find 5 beach chairs for guest use in there so that you don't have to pay for the beach service chairs. We only ask that you wash the towels before you leave and return them to the container. Also please wash the sand off the chairs before bringing them back inside. Please let us know if any of these items are missing upon your arrival. Other amenities include an indoor infinity heated pool on the 3rd floor and also an outdoor infinity pool, both overlooking the gulf. The building has 150 ft. frontage on Gulf of Mexico. There is a fitness center on the 4th floor where you can watch the waves while you work with treadmills, bikes, elliptical and weight machines, a sauna, and there are also bathrooms for changing. There is a BBQ area beside building, and a mostly covered parking garage with a 2-car maximum per unit. The cost of the parking passes is included in your quote ($35 ea. with a limit of 2 passes per unit). The passes will be in the condo upon your arrival. There are 2 high-speed elevators. The building has interior sprinkler and smoke detector system, and it is a completely reinforced concrete structure. Why should you choose our condo? The only bad thing I can say is parking is a challenge! A another down but out of your control was the gulf had lots of jellyfish. No problem with checking in or out! We enjoyed walking to several places nearby, the quick ride down the elevator to the beach and pool and as much as all of those things were fantastic—the amazing views from inside the condo and the balcony made this spectacular. Truly enjoyed this unit. Only issues one bedroom is warm. Have to leave door open and run fan. We had SUV and moving from one level of parking garage was very tight. Loved the ice machine! Oven seemed weak as took long time to cook frozen pizza. Communication was super quick with owner for any questions. Would definite go back. Had a premium feel overall! ##### Susan W. Plenty of towels, kitchen appliances, and was nicely decorated. We had a few issues with our stay. A smoke detector started peeping in the middle of the night that needed the batteries changed. It seems like a pretty minor inconvenience but we had to find a battery & ladder to change it when if they were changed yearly, it would never have been an issue. If my husband wasnt there, I would have had to have dealt with it all night, as the ceilings are quite tall and I could not reach, even with the small ladder we found. Second, there was a leak from the ceiling in the master bathroom. I get things happen but we had to plan our day around when the management company would be around to assess it so we could let them in. Lastly, parking was a nightmare. If you have a smaller vehicle, you will be fine because you can always park on the higher levels. Issue was all of the smaller cars wanted to park on the lower level when bigger vehicles could not clear the other levels of of the parking garage. ##### Jessica F. We have been coming down to Gulf Shores for 5 years now, and this is the one that we will book every year. The view alone makes this one of my favorite places we’ve visited. The host was always responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location can’t be beat. The parking passes were not in the condo when we got there but this was easily rectified with one call to the owner...the only call that was needed throughout our stay. King size beds & big spacious bathrooms. Kitchen is well-equipped, though we didn't use it much other than for breakfast. Beautiful view on the 22nd floor - great for adults. This was our second trip to the Gulf and I will definitely look up this location again if/when a third trip to The Gulf happens. A great place to get away from an Iowa winter. Big thanks to Connie for opening up her condo for us to enjoy...it was wonderful! ##### Joanne G. This property was by far the best ever. Listing was accurate, condo was super clean and roomy. Kitchen was well stocked. Copious bath towels were available. View was second to none. Furniture on the lanai was super comfortable and added to the relaxing atmosphere. During the course of 3 weeks we had age group ranging from 76 yo - 7yo. This included 3 sisters (for the duration) and rotation of 3 of my grandchildren a SIL, and 3 of my children.
