Sep 22, 2025 #### Home away from home This is our 4th year staying at Maw Maws beach house. For 2 weeks a year we feel like this is our home away from home. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The house is perfect just a short walk to the beach so it was easy to wake up every morning to walk our dogs on the beach and watch the sunrise. Cheryle has done a perfect job decorating and keeping the house updated, the house looks better every year. We especially enjoyed the covered front and back decks and had every meal on the back deck. The kitchen is well appointed so it was easy to cook every meal there saving us time and money. We also enjoyed the grill and sitting area under the house where we could enjoy grilling our catch of the day. We were able to surf fish on the beach, and also took advantage of the fishing pier by the ferry on Mobile Bay, where we caught several of our meals. Super communication before during and after and made any anxietys about the house or check in non existent. These places have everything you need and then some as everyone who comes through there keeps donating stuff for the next group which we did as well. Do not being any beach stuff as there is ample amount of stuff for everyone . This place will not disappoint clean quiet and stores for basic needs within 10 minutes. Definately will be back! The area is peaceful, we wouldn’t go anywhere else. The house has everything you need and more. Cheryle is a wonderful person to rent from. We’ve been coming back to her houses for years now. I think this is the fifth time we’ve rented from her. Our fur babies got to come on vacation too. I wouldn’t have it any other way, leaving them at home I would be worried sick. It was about a football field length from a gorgeous beach with very few other people. The house was so well stocked, it had everything. And it was dog friendly, as well as the beach. Sep 23, 2024 #### Perfect beach house Our stay at Maw Maws beach house was perfect. I have stayed at many properties over the years in the Gulf Shores/Ft.Morgan area, but this by far is the best. This is our 3rd time renting this home, and won't be the last. Cheryle is the perfect host, she truly cares about the people who rent her home, and she only wants the best for us. The house has 2 covered decks, one in front and one in the back. Unfortunately the first week we stayed tropical storm Francine hit, but having the decks to sit on still allowed us to enjoy the beautiful views, even in the rain. This was our first stay in Ft. Morgan and we loved the peace and quiet. The house is a short walk from the beach and you can hear the waves from the large covered front porch. There was plenty of room for all four of us and my dog Daisy made the porch her favorite spot to soak up the sun. Cheryl was very sweet and accommodating. Set up perfectly to shower dogs below then air dry them on the deck. Keeps house cleaner and easy to do. Washer/ dryer make packing lighter.
