One of a kind

Sweet little home with everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. Loved the lagoon out the back door and Gulf access across the road (10 minute walk). Restaurants, shopping and State park just a short drive, just far enough that traffic is minimal.minimal

Quiet with Great Views

Loved the Crabby Daddy! Was nice to have both lagoon and beach access. Space was laid out well and very nice. Slept 6 people very comfortably.

Reviewer Comments: The location is great and the size of the cottage is perfect for a couple or small family. We only stayed 2 nights of our trip, however, as something in the cottage triggered my wife's asthma/allergies and the windows wouldn't open in order to get fresh air.

Beach Getaway

Overall we had a nice stay! House is cute and comfortable. Needs a good deep cleaning. Furniture was already covered in sand upon arrival and dishes were dirty when you pulled them out to use. It would be nice to have a little hand vacuum to clean the cushions with. Beach access is quite a hike to walk with wagon/kids so you will have to drive. Listing does not show new condos directly behind you which makes it awkward to access the lagoon area as you feel you’re infringing on their space. Communication was spot on, check in was easy, and it’s a great quieter safe spot which I guess is what you get versus closeness to the beach entrance. Overall not a bad stay! Probably wouldn’t choose this one again but you get what you pay for and it slept the 4 of us just fine!

Perfect Vacation Spot!

Great location. Close to everything yet still secluded enough to make for a very relaxing and peaceful vacation. It was amazing having quick access to both the bay and the beach. We can’t wait to come back!

Very comfortable

This was a good size house for a small family. Plenty of kitchen utensils and pots and pans to be able to cook at home without going out every night. Very well priced too.

Crabby Daddy is the best!

This is the cutest little beach house in such a great location! Luckily my husband and I settled on this property rather than further east (where we usually stay) because little did we know there was a music festival happening the same weekend we were there. The pictures online looked like it was SO CROWDED but we were so relaxed and quiet at Crabby Daddy! Quick walk to the beach for my husband and I, and our little spot on the beach was also nice and secluded, even on a saturday. We brought our pup for his first vacation and he had a great time too. We were about 40 minutes away from the dog beach at Fort Morgan, as well as the ferry to Dauphin Island which has a couple of dog beaches. All in all it was the perfect location and we had an amazing weekend. We hope to be back to Crabby Daddy!

Short walk across the street to the beach. Your access is through Rolf’s Retreat on the beachside. It’s the blue house across the street.
