"We like the Academy Hotel. This was our third stay, maybe fourth. It is an older hotel but has been kept in excellent shape. It is conveniently located just off I 25 on the north end of the city. Our room was recently remodeled and was very clean and comfortable. The staff, although seemingly somewhat reduced, was competent and pleasant to deal with. We had no problems and will stay here again. There were a couple of slight maintenance issues with the room (light switches not working) but it was a very nice room that we enjoyed using for the two nights we were there. Our one disappointment was the change in the breakfast menu. Previously, breakfast included made to order omlets which were quite good. That is now an extra cost item which really is quite understandable in the current economic times. There is a large pool in the atrium which attracts families to this hotel. It's fun to see and hear the kids! It's a nice place."

"The room was clean, just had a must smell. There was no wifi, and the staff didn’t know when will it be fixed. There were things to make coffee and a coffee maker but there was a part of the coffee maker that was missing. The staff was either overwhelmed or not happy. Im not sure we would stay here again"

"The room was fantastic. I loved the view. It was a small room but the wide window gave a much larger feel. Would prefer individual room AC control as asking at desk for adjustment felt awkward. Great bed and great service throughout my stay. I’ll certainly stay here again."
