Best cheap motel option in the Grass Valley / Nevada City area. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Safe area. Clean, basic. Fridge worked, as did microwave and coffee brewer. Good heat. Hot water took 3 minutes to warm up but when it did it was plenty toasty. Bed, sheets and pillow got the job done. Gal at front desk was friendly and helpful. All the motel I needed.

The room was nice but only had a space heater so it was pretty cold with snow still on thr ground...had a wall unit for a/c took about 15 20 mins for hot water in the shower an the floor was all tile so twice as cold ... had to buy some towels an a blanket . would i stay there again probably not , had some people fighting at like 1 am so that woke me up too, parking lot pretty small an no assigned parking had to park pretty far away from my room couldn't keep an eye on my car but it was alright

Room much older than expected. Bed was fine. Outside smells (weed, food) came into room from other balconies. Pet friendly, bathroom smelled a bit like cat pee. We were asked 3 times if we had pets, which we didn't. Also, a bit of staff mix up thinking we were only staying 1 day when we had prepaid for 2. Overall location met our needs and was cheapest in town.

Overall a good place to stay

The stay was good. Small parking lot with some awkward spots. Overall it was a good experience with friendly staff. The room was a little dated it felt and the bed was not the quietest being on a metal fram like a hollow filing cabinet.

Emergency visit to Grass Valley, Ca

Just what we needed for end of day restful night sleep after taking care of ill family member during the day, very clean, newly renovated rooms, quiet area, affordable rate per night, friendly staff. We only booked one night at a time due to uncertainly of duration of our stay in the area, we ended up with five night stay. Sadly, it was the last visit to Grass Valley area, family member we were taking care of passed on same week.

Water not hot enough for a shower

We didn't need much, just a clean, basic place to stay. It was clean enough, and quiet. But after the water ran for a LONG time it got barely lukewarm, and never hotter than that.
