"A wonderful hotel. Very premium and modern aesthetic. Hotel has minimal amenities like soap and hotel slippers and hair dryer only so you need to bring your own shampoo or toothbrush. Breakfast buffet is great. Will stay there again if we hit the area. Location is great , near the tourist boat tour. But there’s nothing much to do other than biking , and walking around a small riverside/nature area. The neighboring Lehde town is cute but super tiny. Can’t imagine being here more than 2 nights."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Goyatz?
The best area to stay in Goyatz is the village centre, particularly around the Schwielochsee lakefront.

This area is the heart of Goyatz, offering direct access to the Schwielochsee, the largest natural lake in Brandenburg. The main street, Dorfstraße, runs through the village and features a few local shops and dining options. The lakefront boasts a marina and several spots great for enjoying the water.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will find the village centre ideal. You can enjoy strolls along the lake, take boat trips directly from the marina, or simply relax by the water. The emphasis here is on natural beauty and a relaxed pace.

For families, the area around the Goyatz beach and camping site is excellent. Located slightly east of the main village, it provides easy access to the lake for swimming and water sports.
When is the best time to go to Goyatz?
The best time to go to Goyatz is during the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, specifically from May to September.

This period offers the most pleasant weather for enjoying the outdoor activities and natural beauty of the Spreewald biosphere reserve. You'll find warmer temperatures, ideal for exploring the waterways by canoe or paddleboat, and for cycling along the many scenic routes. The sunnier days also make it great for relaxing by Schwielochsee lake.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will particularly appreciate Goyatz in June or September. These months often provide comfortable temperatures for leisurely walks and boat trips without the peak crowds of July and August. You can enjoy the calm of the lake and the surrounding forests, perhaps with a picnic or a quiet meal at a lakeside restaurant.

Families travelling with children will find July and August to be excellent. The weather is typically at its warmest, making it great for swimming in Schwielochsee lake or enjoying the various water-based activities available.
