GENERAL INFORMATION;  
\*\*\*We have an extensive page Trip Planner document that gives tips on everything from; SUV rentals and flight information to the best restaurants, beaches, tours and everything in between. Most guests find that document to be invaluable and it saves them a lot of money.  
  
\*\*\*We have a great car rental guy who gives all of our guests special deals for renting with us since we refer so much business to him. We also have the best tour/fishing guide in the Bahamas. He specializes in the swimming pigs, all sorts of fishing and spearfishing trips, sea turtles, sand bars, rope swings, etc. We have been using both guys exclusively since since 2016\. The owner of the property also can rent kayaks and snorkel gear and stuff like that for you. Please do not ask us prices on these optional services as they vary depending what you rent and what time of year, etc. You will deal directly with each vendor after you book with us to determine your services and prices.   
  
\*\*\*Bahamian owned - So the cool thing is that your funds go right into the local economy, not in the pockets of a foreign investor. Eleuthera is generally a fairly poor island and that is a BIG deal for their economy.   
  
\*\*\*Please note we do not accept any pets, emotional, support or therapy animals due to extreme allergies/health related issues in our family.  
  
WHO WE ARE AS HOSTS;  
We have been VRBO/HomeAway Premier Hosts since 2016 with over 20 properties and many thousands of reviews online averaging 4.95 stars average out of 5.0 stars. We always respond to any guests concerns immediately and have a well seasoned staff in every location. For example this cottage, the Bahamian owner lives locally so if you need anything they are right there. We have thousands of 5 star reviews online.  
  
PROPERTY OVERVIEW;  
There are 3 villas at this property so if your dates are not available please ask us and we can direct you to the two other villas or one of our other many properties we have on the island. The entire property compound is fenced and private with lovely grassy area along with many palm trees and flowering shrubs. Each villa is identical with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room and 3 separate outdoor decks. All villas have their own private space and BBQ grill. The pool area and hot tub, elevated sundeck and gas fire pit and exterior dining table are shared spaces. The hot tub is obviously heated and the pool is not heated. There is lots of deck furniture around the pool and up in the sundeck area. There is an outdoor shower by the pool. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer on the property grounds as well and is free to use for each guest, just supply your own detergent. Having a pool and hot tub is a great asset and there is no nicer beach on the island than Airport Beach.  
  
YOUR VILLA;   
Each Villa has excellent mini split Air Conditioners in each room, FREE Wi-Fi, a phone to make FREE local calls, large Smart TV equipped with cable and FREE parking at the property. All villas are equipped with 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each and also the sectional couch in each villa serves as another area for 2 people to sleep if you have 6 people in total. With 4 people each couple has their own bedroom and their own bathroom. There are 2 full bathrooms with walk-in showers with large ceiling rain shower heads, a large well stocked full kitchen with a dining table and chairs. The kitchen has a full size fridge, electric range/oven, microwave, large sink, blender, toaster, Melitta coffee maker, Imusa Expresso and Cappuccino maker, lots of pots and pans and kitchen gadgets to cook full time if you desire. There is closet and storage space in each Villa. Each villa comes with 3 private decks attached to your individual villa off each bedroom and the main entry living area. There are hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings as well. You will also have your own charcoal grill, guests must supply their own charcoal, to use during your stay to grill all that seafood you catch with our boat captain! Each villa is exactly identical to the others so there is no difference between villa 1-2-3\. Enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets from the decks and views of both Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The setting is very relaxing and the perfect place for mental health, stress relief and to unwind. Safety is something many guests ask about and our location is extremely safe and our property is well lit and we have never had a single crime issue. Eleuthera is generally a very safe island not be confused with other non-safe Bahamian islands such as Nassau. PLEASE NOTE; The villas are identical, however the one you are renting may have slightly different decor on the walls or different colored bedding as shown in the photos, etc.  
  
OUR LOCATION;  
The Landing Villas is located about 7 miles north of Governor’s Harbor the island's capital. Remember Eleuthera is long thin island being 110 miles top to bottom and only half a mile wide. So if you pick the wrong destination to stay, be prepared for a lot of driving on some bad roads coupled with gas prices being double as back home! We are in a superb central location for exploring both to the north and to the south of the island and we are very close to the island's best attractions. See our map in the photo section. Airport Beach, one of the nicest beaches on the island (and in the world) is right at the end of our dirt road which is a 1 minute drive or a 5 minute walk. You can literally walk for miles in either direction along the beach and enjoy some of the best snorkeling on the entire island with the coral formations just offshore. There are many beaches, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, liquor stores, food stores, banks, island attractions and gas stations all within 3 – 15 minutes away heading north and south. ELEUTHERA IS NOT FOR EVERYONE;  
If Miami Beach is your thing we respectfully suggest you pick a different destination. Eleuthera is a sleepy island with some flaws; bad roads, dated infrastructure, more frequent than back home power / water / internet outages, geckos sometimes will be in a home and painfully slow service at certain places. In Eleuthera people are genuine, helpful and kind. It is unspoiled and gorgeous and mostly empty going back back 75 years in time. You will explore the most stunning beaches you have ever seen and have them usually all to yourself. Last but not least, crime is very low in Eleuthera unlike other Bahamian and Caribbean islands.

The stay was wonderful however there were mosquitoes that is outside the control of the owner.

The Jacuzzi was filthy. There were no umbrellas at the pool as advertised. There were no propane barbeques. There was no propane for fire pit on pool deck. Deck chair cushions are rotted on one side. There were no beach chairs and beach umbrellas. The cottage floors were sticky, had to always wear shoes. There was no hot water in either shower.

#### Perfect Location. Good property. 

Our second time staying here. Location is excellent- near the Gov Harbor airport, and a 10 minute rasy walk to one of the finest beaches on the planet. Minutes after booking we received very detailed information on the island and the property - this info goes above and beyond the basics and is worth reading in total. Chris was attentive and professional and dealt with our car rental efficiently and responded very quickly when needed. The property is ideal for 2 couples and the layout is excellent. We did notice that some minor maintenance will be required soon - eg the wooden deck has developed soft spots due to weathering. We will be back. Thanks.

#### Great location and comfortable villa

The villa was very nice. Plenty of room for my family of five (kids aged 5, 12 and 14). Bathrooms are small but adequate. Nice family room and kitchen area to congregate. Great location around the middle of Eleuthera. Lots of good beaches and some of the best things to see/do within 30 min or so. We really enjoyed the hot tub at night (it was too cold for the pool).

#### Exceptional visit to beautiful Eleuthera!

We were so pleased with our VRBO getaway in Eleuthera. The location turned out to be perfect for exploring the island, both north and south. We loved having such great access to Airport Beach, which was beautiful and secluded. (Nearby Cocodimama Beach was also a real treat, especially for shell hunting at low tide.) Our “home away from home” was clean, comfortable, and extremely well supplied. There wasn’t anything that we found lacking (except maybe instructions for the cappuccino maker), and the firepit deck, pool, and hot tub were icing on the cake. It did take a little to learn how to navigate around the largest holes in the driveway – a struggle for our SUV – but the vehicle was rugged and reliable! Chris and Ashley kicked off our week with superior customer service, which included information prior to the trip and guidance as we started our great adventure. Thank you all so much for an exceptional visit to beautiful Eleuthera!

We love our Bahamas trips. The property was as expected and comfortable and convenient. Airport beach was empty every time we went out. The weather wasn’t the best - but much better than the Midwest blizzard we left. 😊

#### Excellent Property/Location

This place is pretty much in the middle of the island making commute to lots of places pretty easy. It is very close to the Coco di Mama beach which was our favorite. There is a beach near the property but we decided to explore other beaches on the Caribbean side of the island. You definitely need a car to get around. While we didn;t rent from Chris, property manager, we would have as he was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our needs/questions. Marielbys who manages the booking will send you a trip details document that has a wealth of information. READ THE WHOLE THING.. Extremely helpful and full of great info and recommendations. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating in ensuring we had a fun, relaxing and stress free experience. Note: Not everyone accepts cards on the island, so make sure to carry cash. If I recall correctly, there is only 1 bank on the island. Conclusion: Highly Reccomend!

#### Great space for families/couples

This property was a great layout for our family of 6\. We rented 2 villas. Our teenagers loved having some extra space to themselves. The beach is a short walk and there were great waves and NO OTHER PEOPLE the entire time we were on island. Keep in mind that food is VERY EXPENSIVE in Eleuthra and it is about an hour drive in either direction if you want to charter a boat for scuba or other activities. Overall, the accomodations are very comfortable and, if you are interested in a quiet, breathtaking beautiful beach vacation with spacious,affordable accomodations, this is the place for you!

#### The Landing - Terminal 2

This was a perfect location and property for our trip to your beautiful island this time. We traveled with my mother and daughter and this gave us separate space AND a beautiful pool and hot tub: which we used every day! And being close to the airport, enables us to enjoy our last morning before the travel day got underway! Chris was very accommodating!!

#### We had a terrific time staying in Governors Harbor! The location is exactly as described!

Chris, our care taker, was wonderful! Truly hospitable and responsive during our entire trip! The trip planner provided by Marielbys is very detailed and filled with tons of precious nuggets of information! I would most definitely rent from Marielbys again!

#### The landings

We stayed on the island of Eleuthera for 8 days. The accommodations at the landings are great, very comfortable and surprisingly quite, even though you are near the airport. Kitchen is well stocked for all cooking needs. You are 5 minutes from beach as the house sits between the Atlantic and the Caribbean. Chris is awesome, and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
