"We were able to upgrade to a breakfast and AC which made it nice. The doors to the bathroom didn’t close. Periodically there was a smell like sewage in the hallways, but it was only a smell. The beds were clean. The floors were clean. The bathroom does not get hot water. But most places there don’t. We did not try the pool, but just know the public can come there to swim during the day. It also cost 15 cedi per day to swim. Security was okay. There is a taxi hub nearby which is nice. ...

"This hotel is horribly run. I reserved 2 nights on Expedia only to get there and the hotel staff to tell me they had no record of my booking. The room had not been cleaned or readied for guests because they were not expecting a guest. I had to call the owner who supposedly lives in Austria, made an international call for that and he was very dismissive of the situation and offered no help. "DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!! The owner/manager is a horrible/rude person. I do not know where the miscommunication happened, Expedia or misrepresented by the owner/manager, but the owner/manager was extremely rude while trying to figure out what happened to our reservation. His words...don't bother coming at all...so we did not. Unfortunate because we were really looking forward to our stay. We travel to Ghana frequently and this was the first time ever we had trouble with any stays. BEWARE. "

"Nice hotel, however you are just paying for the brand and the “chestnut wood” plastered over the hotel. Hotel receptionist Celeste insisted that I upgraded my room to an executive room for a better experience and I regret it. Was not worth it and wish I had done better research. You weren’t even allowed to open the balcony doors (what’s the point of having a balcony then??). Overall, staff are nice. Wish the hotel was located near more shops that are within walking distances like the ones in Osu. Don’t think I will be returning to Kempinski since I did seek better/cheaper options that were more spacious while visiting friends. "

"I enjoyed my stay here. The staff are exceptionaly friendly and helpfull - they go above and beyond expectations.The hotel is set in extensive grounds with lots of palm trees with a large pool to swim or relax by. The least epensive rooms are clustered in round chalet ype buildings set in pleasnt grounds. The more expensive rooms are in wings of the hotel near the pool. The breakfast is excellent by Ghanaian standards with a good selection including cook to order eggs and pnacakes - but it is expensive if not included. There is an extensive daytime and evening menu available with Ghanaiain and European food which is pretty reasonable quality but portions are too large for most people to finish. The gounds of the hotel extend to the endge of the sea but there is no direct access to the beach - its fenced off for security. To visit the beach you have to walk out of the front and along the main LA rd a short way - but reallt the hotel pool is much nice than the beach."

"The location close to the Accra shopping mall was great, it enabled me to buy internet access and other essentials that I needed for the start of my trip.The room was clean and well presented and the staff were very helpful. As a solo traveller, I selected the hotel principally because of the airport pickup and location, I was not disappointed by either. Also the notel internet was reliable."
