Fabulous Family Getaway
This VRBO was perfect for our family of 10. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like we were at home! We were greeted by a hostess, who gave us a tour of the home, answered questions, and made sure we were all set. Our first impression was the cleanliness and spaciousness!! It exceeded our expectations. The beds were so comfortable and each bedroom room had its own en suite. The kitchen had every appliance we could ever need, plenty of dishes and silverware, and a high chair too. This made it so nice for us to enjoy many home-cooked meals around the large kitchen table. We spent lots of time in the evening in the three season room, visiting, reading and sharing stories. Such a great way to enjoy the beauty of the woods with none of the bugs! Even though we had a couple rainy days during our stay, we still made many fantastic memories just being together at the house. The family room in the basement was a perfect place to play games, watch movies, and play pool. Additionally, the cool weather was great for hot tubbing! The home is located in the rolling hills in a beautiful neighborhood with access to the nearby clubhouse with activities.

This is a beautiful home full of all the amenities you would want on a golf vacation. The kitchen is well equipped. The porches are lovely in the hot tub was nice. The bedrooms are large and each has its own private bathroom. We will definitely use this property again.

We had a party of 13 and the house had more than enough room to accommodate a large group. The home was very clean upon arrival and the welcoming greet and meet w Colleen at check in was a nice touch! I’d highly suggest booking in warmer weather when the decks can be utilized and screened in porch! The fire pit was a nice addition to our stay!

Great spot for weekend getaway
Had three couples and seven children under 7 years old in our group and house worked great and the Galena area offers a nice variety of options for young families. The host couple does a great job of providing information about the home and recreation, dining and other things to do in the area. The hot tub and fire circle are perfect amenities on the property. The only thing to be aware of is that the home is fully furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dining ware and some limited spices and salt and pepper, but guests will need to bring any cooking oils, any preferred spices and sauces, and any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash they might want to use. All in all I expect we’ll be back!

perfect weekend getaway
The home is beautifully maintained and perfect for our group of kids and teens. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and ample room to spread out. The house is well stocked and the owners provide a nice welcome basket. Really couldn't have enjoyed it more. Would love to see it in the summer! Must be paradise.
