It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friend on a clean beach with excellent fishing conveniently located between Galveston and Surfside Beach. It is close enough to take a day trip to Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and The Strand, or grab lunch/dinner at the numerous waterfront restaurants including the Sugar Skull Rolling Cafe or Beach or Beach Front Deck Bar & Grill in Surfside. NOTE: While there is a basic grocery/convenience mart (Bright Lite) in the neighborhood and Seven Seas Grocery about 10 -15 min away, we do suggest, given this is on an island, you purchase your groceries ahead of time or at least plan to make a bit of a drive for most extensive purchases. The beach is clean, relatively secluded and very easily accessed.
