Mt. Elden Retreat, Our Happy Place

Our happy place will be your happy place too! Farmhouse decor, kids bunk room, spectacular views, separate game room....you will love it here! Relax on the front porch enjoying the great Flagstaff weather or enjoy your meal outside at the table. Inside has all new farmhouse decor and housewares with plenty of amenities! As you enter the home, you will be pleased with the open feel, comfy furniture and 70" smart big screen tv. The coffee station offers coffee, tea & hot chocolate! Garage is converted to a game room with Shuffleboard, bar, couch and two kinds of darts...all with a great view! Super comfortable king bed in master with 50" smart tv. Black out curtains if you choose to sleep in. Your kids will love the Red, White & Blue themed bunk room, with tons of games to play!
The fully stocked kitchen boasts brand new stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space to prepare meals! We supply basic spices, flour, sugar, oils, etc. so use what you need. We also supply paper towels, napkins, dishwasher detergent, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags and laundry pods & dryer sheets if you need to use the full size washer and dryer. Master has it's own bath with tub and shower. Second hall bath has stand up shower! All towels provided during your stay! Each shower has shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap, as well as a hair dryer.
Central A/C keeps you cool in the summer, although opening the windows gives you a nice breeze. Hanging out in the game room with the large door open to a great view may just be your favorite place to relax. But if you are looking for adventure, we are close to plenty of hiking trails just minutes away...plus all that Flagstaff has to offer. Just a mile and a half to Flagstaff Mall, Harkin's Theater, tons of shopping and restaurants. Only about an hour to the Grand Canyon, about 40 minutes to Arizona Snowbowl, 15 minutes to downtown & 15 minutes to NAU, 5 minutes to Continental Country Club.

Spring Break

The house was perfect and close to everything we wanted to see. The grand canyon, monument valley, painted desert, meteor crater, hoover dam and route 66 were all easy day trips for us. My son and i loved the game room. I would stay here again.

This house was so charming and absolutely perfect in every way for our stay in Flagstaff and visit to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I can’t say enough good things about it. Very clean. Perfect size to be cozy and had everything we needed. I absolutely will be back the next time I visit the area!

Excellent stay in Flagstaff

This ranks as among the top houses I've rented anywhere. It's in a new development, close to a major road yet still quiet, and well-situated for visiting the Flagstaff-area National Monuments. My wife and I loved the kitchen and master bedroom. The kids loved the bunk beds and game room. The hosts are very communicative and helpful, and even provided a personalized greeting.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mt. Elden Retreat! The house was very comfortable and clean. Our kids loved the bunk room with all the games. We played several games as a family, and used the outdoor game room as well. The location was great, as it's not right in town and was super quiet. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay

The house was great! It was very clean and exactly as described. The house had plenty of space and every amenity you could think of. The game room was a lot of fun and great for kids. Great Flagstaff Homebase!

Literally nothing negative to mention about this place. Well-Appointed, super-clean. Great location. Angela was quick and easy to communicate with. Kids LOVED the game garage. Front porch is a great coffee/cocktail spot. Only regret is not spending another night here!

Well Stocked House in Flagstaff

My husband and I brought our two children, three and six, two Flagstaff for a long weekend to experience the north pole. This house was amazing. Angela was great communicating the check in process and had left instructions to print it out on the table. The house was exactly as described, but was honestly the most well stocked house we’ve ever stayed in. Had we needed to cook meals, there was everything we needed and more. She supplied coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and there is a pantry with essentials. There are a ton of blankets as we were there in the winter so that helped when we were just hanging out on the couch. My kids loved all the games and the game room. It was no more than 10-15 mins to all the places we planned to go, very easy to get to.

Immaculate

If you are thinking of booking Angela’s home, please do! When we walked in the door we felt like we were home. The soft couches and modern farmhouse decor lend to a very cozy vibe. The kitchen is well stocked with almost any utensil you might need. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds were very comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the bunk room. They liked hanging out on the beanbags underneath the loft. What I was most impressed with was how clean this house is. I have very high standards and I can usually spot something that needs attention. I did not find one thing. THIS HOUSE IS IMMACULATE! We used Angela’s house as a jumping off point to see the sites. The location was excellent. We went to the Grand Canyon twice, drove through Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona, saw the Meteor Crater, and fulfilled my husband’s wish to stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. It was an amazing trip and that is largely due to the comfort and convenience of Angela’s house. We forgot to sign the guest book so, thank you for your hospitality, Angela. We enjoyed your home!
