Overall we had a lovely stay, niggly problem like over head light not working, noise from car park etc. The staff were courteous and helpful. Being a city centre position it was excellent for walking to the city centre etc. The wharf well worth a visit.

This hotel is ideally situated for both the charming quayside area and the city centre. Less than 10 minutes walk down a steep hill takes you to the river and canal with their restaurants. 10 minutes in the opposite direction gets you to the Cathedral. The hotel is well appointed and has a spacious car park (fees apply). Our room was very comfortable and nicely appointed, although there were some lighting faults that required repair.

Staff very helpful at reception on arrival. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection including gluten-free alternatives as well. Great location to walk into town but we would recommend doing this in the day. Unfortunately, we arrive too late in the evening and were disappointed when we walked into town to have a meal near the cathedral to find lots of homeless and sleeping bags everywhere along with people that were inebriated. You do tend to find that any labour run towns or cities are very rundown which is a shame because you wouldn’t expect that from a place like Exeter.
