The tv also didn’t work although I admit we didn’t bring this to hotel’s attention. Room 143 it was in need of a review ofvthe wetroom with missing grout and damp smell and on the bedroom side of the adjoining wall signs of water ingress. However we had a family room and tge hotel rooms are very warm and no air conditioning. We left our window open (small window ) first night and came back with two young children to a room full of insects the whole roof was covered in them. We ended up trying to Hoover the roof for an hour. So result was a stifling room (it was only 18-20degrees -Sept) and no ability to open a window. Hotel is in a quiet nice setting. Pity the room was at back of hotel. We could not open windows as their was pigeons on windows all around us and bird poop in mountains. Pigeon feaces is highly toxic when dried out and so we were afraid to open the windows. We went for dinner and got a half cooked pizza and very doughy so we did not eat there again. €6:50 for a pint of beer in the middle of nowhere to be is extremely expensive. We have been to many 3/4/5 star hotels on west coast of Ireland. Cork key Clare Galway and never seen prices on his high. €5:20/5:80 max. That’s prices to pay in Dublin. To be honest we probably would not return to this hotel again. Options were very good. Staff were on the ball and very efficient. Room was clean and very comfortable. Service was very good in the bar area and for breakfast and dinner.
