The Temple Gate Hotel was clean and quiet. It was a comfortably average stay. While they are keeping up the hotel it is showing its age and could use an overall refresh. Parking was good and it's convienently located next to shopping, pubs and attractions.

Just an ok hotel. Our room carpet seemed very old and dirty. No mini fridge or independent room climate controls. However, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They made the most of an outdated facility in need of upgrades.

A nice place to stay, it met most of our expectations, clean and quiet rooms. The only issue that we had was the service we had for dinner, slow and not very responsive. Several other guests complained prior to my having to go to the bar to get my check. Other than that a nice place.

Temple Gate is an old building and consequently does have all the mod cons. However it is clean, tidy and staff are brilliant. Well worth a visit

The hotel itself is very clean and upscale, and the room was better than expected for the price. Just about every staff member we interacted with from reception to maid services to breakfast hall was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. The bed was quite comfortable and larger than other king beds in Ireland (seemed closer to an American king size). Easy access to the Atlantic coast, Cliffs of Moher, Poulnabrone dolmen, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Craggaunowen, etc. Would absolutely stay there again.

Excellent location, within walking distance to everything in Ennis including shopping (Dunnes, Tesco, and quaint boutiques) and restaurants. Our standard room was well appointed, warm, and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choices for vegetarians. Highly recommend.
