Each room has access to a balcony via patio doors. Hair dryers are provided in all bedrooms. The master bedroom has en-suite facilities. There is a family bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom. The ground floor is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen that includes a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The living area has a dining table which extends to seat 12 people. There is a lounge suite, TV with android viewing (UK channels). FREE child facilities include cot, highchair, two stair safety gates, cot linen, infant toilet seat, cutlery and plastic cups and plates The villa is fully air conditioned for the comfort of our guests during the summer months, converting to a heating system during the cooler season. Additionally, ceiling fans are installed in all rooms. The colourful, mature garden is fenced in and consists of a beautiful pool that is bathed in sunshine all day and is surrounded by a terrace containing sun beds, tables, parasols and BBQ. After watching a beautiful sunset, the garden and pool are fully lit for a romantic evening. The Villa is non-smoking, although ashtrays are provided for guests wishing to smoke outside. Linen, house and pool towels are included. The pool is cleaned twice weekly to ensure safe bathing. There is no preferred changeover day. Arrival and departure times are 4pm and 10am respectively. However, should no other guests be arriving or leaving the Villa on your dates, then the times would be flexible at no additional cost. We will confirm these details closer to your holiday. We suggest car hire, or alternatively, the local taxi firm that we recommend are always available to take you to the shops, beach, restaurants or local attractions. They will collect very promptly from the villa, or your choice of venue. They are also bookable in advance. There is a timetabled bus service into Paphos which runs approximately every two hours. Emba and its surrounding area. The villa is situated in a small close in a residential area in the village of Emba. The local supermarket stocks a full range of products, from local produce to Heinz Beans! Adjacent to the supermarket are several food outlets selling traditional Cypriot food, fresh fish and a bakery. There is a small local Taverna in Emba village serving traditional Cypriot cuisine within walking distance. The surrounding villages of Lempa, Chlorakas and Kissonerga also have a variety of local restaurants. Coral Bay is a few minutes’ drive away. Its high street is full of bars and restaurants. It has a character of its own and is full of life. A few minutes’ drive further on, leads you to the sandy beach and water sports of Corallia Beach. Paphos main town and harbour are in the opposite direction, where facilities are abundant. There are two contrasting areas, The Harbour - with its many restaurants or Bar Street - for club land and bars. Places to visit and activities The island has something to offer all ages and tastes. The Troodos Mountains; for skiing in the winter and sightseeing and walking in the summer. There are many vineyards on the slopes where you can sample a variety of local wines and purchase at very reasonable prices. Day excursions are plentiful - jeep safaris to Troodos or the Akamas Peninsular, day/sunset cruises, fishing trips and guided walks. If more lively activities are preferred, jet skis, paragliding, water skiing, scuba diving. Go-karting, golf, cycling and horse riding are all close by, as well as a water park. The established family coastal path is ideal for walking, jogging, cycling and blading. However all outside furniture all needs replacing, only 4 sun beds so if 6 stay not enough & one was broken. Upon arrival we were pleased to find a nice welcome pack of food and drinks that had been provided for us. We feel that our holiday was enhanced by a two week car hire that allowed us to reach the resorts of Coral Bay or Kato Paphos within 15 to 20 minutes. In addition locally there are the lovely villages of Emba and Kissonegra that can be reached within a few minutes drive with their many local Cypriot tavernas, shops and supermarkets. I would fully recommend using Google maps for your transfer, particularly if you hire a car as it guided us from Paphos airport right to the Villa's front door with absolute ease. We were also very grateful for a generous offer of a late stay on the last day of our holiday as we had late flights returning to the U.K.. Thank you John & Jayne. , ##### Alan D. Villa has everything you could possibly need. We would absolutely stay there again. John and Jayne were so helpful in the run up to the holiday, the taxi was waiting at the Airport to pick us up even with the 1 hour delay that they booked for us. Hire firm they recommended were great and we would use them again, reasonably priced too. The whole holiday was perfect. Lots of things to see and do near by but you will need to hire a car. Villa and Pool are bigger than they look in the pictures and all the electric plugs are the same as the UK so no adapters needed. The house had everything we needed, the pool was lovely and very welcome in the hot weather. We also very much appreciated the excellent welcome pack there for us on our late evening arrival. Owners John and Jayne were extremely helpful and attentive, and we particularly appreciated being able to stay on in the house until 8 in the evening at no extra cost, as we had a late flight. The house is in a quiet location in the outskirts of Emba village, but also not far from Pafos. We had a hired car, from Elephant Rent a Car, recommended by John and Jayne, which was fine and reasonably priced. They will also deliver to the house in the morning - very useful to avoid trying to find the house in the dark if you have an evening arrival. I would say a hire car is pretty much essential if you want to get around without relying on taxis or public transport. It had everything we could possibly need for a family holiday. We stayed for 4 weeks and had an amazing time. The property was very clean and well maintained. The owners and the management company couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely we recommending to friends and family. We loved the tour and boat trip organised by Chris taxis it was great value and he is so nice! Also went on Wavedancer evening dinner cruise from Paphos harbour fab night not to be missed. What a lovely villa in Emba! We enjoyed our stay and the owners were lovely. They provided us with a starter groceries pack, beach towels and didn't charge for our late check-out on the last day. They resolved an issue with the bed without delay and as the villa has a great wifi signal, they were easily contacted if we needed anything. The pool area is a delight, not overlooked and gets the sun most of the day, with adequate shade. The villa is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and 2 full bathrooms, and a downstairs cloak, so is suitable for the amount of persons likely to be staying, as well as hairdryers on each dressing table and USB ports in many of the sockets for easy charging without using a plug socket!. There is air con in every area too! The teenagers also enjoyed watching some of the vast array of films available via the box under the TV. We didn't discover it until the last day, but the front bedroom balcony provides a good place to view the sunset over the sea! One thing to be aware of is that there are no shops nearby (- well, we found that it was a bit far to walk in the heat) so I would say a car is needed, but this may change in a couple of years when Paphos is expanded further and didn't bother us. I am sure that a return taxi into the town for an evening wouldn't be too expensive if you wanted a drink. Aug 23, 2016 #### Excellent Villa Excellent holiday My husband and two teenage sons have just returned from a 16 night stay in August at Villa Kalandia. What a super place to stay. Very easy to find from the airport - I think it's the first time after many holidays when we haven't managed to get lost ! The villa was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped. It had everything we needed ...and more. The best welcome pack we've ever had. All the information we needed about the villa, excursions, bars and restaurants. The owners John and Jayne were fabulous throughout. Incredibly helpful, always responded quickly with the right information. I'd had to postpone for 12 months due to ill health and John and Jayne were so understanding and kind. We'd never been to Paphos before but would definitely return. We had great meals in all the restaurants we ate in. Massive choice from cheap and cheerful to fine dining The choice was endless. Good value for money Coral Bay is worth a visit and although much smaller than Pahos town there's still a good choice of places to eat in and bars to drink in Lots to do in and around Paphos - water sports, beach buggy and quad bike hire, golf and " foot golf" ( which my lads did many times it all got very competitive !!) in addition to fabulous sightseeing Thank you John and Jayne for such a great experience ##### June A.
