ABOUT THE CABIN: Bearly Behaving River Retreat is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin with three floors of luxurious amenities. The top floor of the cabin features a spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed and a private bathroom that includes dual vanities, a shower, and a jetted soaker tub. The bedroom also has a private deck with Adirondack chairs, offering stunning panoramic views of the water. The loft on the top floor provides a perfect space for relaxation with a pool table, desk, day bed, and a comfortable couch to lounge on. This space is perfect for family and friends to unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The main level includes a bedroom with a king-sized bed and a shared bathroom that features dual vanities, a shower, and a jetted soaker tub. This bedroom also features a deck with Adirondack chairs, which is attached to the living room area. The living room is also located on the main level, where you can enjoy the cozy fireplace and relax on one of the comfortable seating options. The kitchen is on the main level and is fully stocked with all of the cooking supplies you'll need to whip up delicious meals for your group. There are two dining areas on the main level, one of which seats 12 and overlooks the water, while the other seats 6 and is located right off of the kitchen. The main deck is also located on this level and features rockers that overlook the water, a private fireplace, additional seating, a dining table that seats 8, and a gas grill. The lower level of the cabin features a bedroom with a king-sized bed and private doors to the lower deck. There is also a full bathroom with a tub/shower, and another bedroom with 2 twin over queen bunk beds, both with trundles. The game room is on this level too and is a real highlight, with pinball, arcade games, and an Infinity game table, offering hours of entertainment for all ages. The game room also has doors to access the lower deck. The lower deck is a great outdoor space with additional rockers that offer views of the water. A car is necessary to reach this cabin, and front-wheel drive or a 4x4 is recommended due to the roads. \- 2 dogs , weighing 50 lbs or less are welcome in this home with an additional fee. \- Parking notes: The driveway will accommodate 6 vehicles. \* By staying, guests assume responsibility for themselves and members of their party if swimming in the creek and use of the hot tub. Kim was so accommodating and helped me with even my stress of wedding duties. The host was very responsive throughout the process of booking and after our stay. The home was very clean and stocked as mentioned in the description. Our favorite part of the house was the outdoor fireplace which we used nightly to make s’mores and we also enjoyed the game room. It was nice for my girls to have their own space and they loved the game table that was loaded with many games to play. We enjoyed the sound of the creek as we sat by the water in the afternoon. My husband and our 3 sons ages 23, 21\. and 18 and one girlfriend of theirs, had the most relaxing and amazing time. it truly was a breath of fresh air being away from the go go go life we all live. The guys fished all the time caught over a dozen and released, we walked about 10 minutes down the beautiful trail and hopped on our river tubes and it was perfect! we did it over and over! hot tub nights with the boys all reminiscing about the past, cook outs on the grill, literally baked a pie in the oven! the house is stocked wonderfully with all you could need! movies at night all together and campfires every night! it was one of our best family vacations ever! ❤️ ##### Chrystie J. The constant sound of the river was amazing. My grandchildren spent all day tubing and swimming in the river. The cabin is fabulous, very spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful with wonderful views from the bedroom decks.The bunk beds and game room were a big hit with the children as were the fire pit and pool table with the adults. Kim, the host was in communication regularly and answered questions quickly. She also sent a link to a guidebook for the cabin and surrounding areas which I was able to share with the other guests, full of information regarding our stay. My husband was most appreciative of the unexpected birthday card and gift that was left for him by the host. The entire experience was great. The owners clearly care for this property and work hard to ensure everything is perfect. The amenities are top notch - higher end appliances, great furniture, plenty of chairs outside, nice hot tub, plenty of kitchen pots/pans utensils, large bathrooms, etc. it literally had everything we needed for two families (4 adults and 4 children). They have covered all the details. The view from the cabin is gorgeous. The bedrooms are very large, and each bedroom has its own large bathroom. Perfect layout for families. The kids had the entire downstairs to themselves, and it is huge. We loved having so many activities for the kids. The infinity game table, pinball machine, pac-man, and Golden Tee were so fun. The adults played a lot of pool after the kids went to bed. The fire pit by the river was relaxing. We would love to come back during the summer months. We loved this place. Potential Improvements: They need some new/better pots and pans in the kitchen. The towels were scratchy. But that’s about it. Know before you go: The Coosawatte River Resort is massive. You are 20 minutes from anything, literally. Plan accordingly. The roads are narrow and winding. The cabin is really off the beaten path. The paved roads turn into gravel roads, and the path to the cabin is a single lane remote path right beside the creek. It’s not convenient, but it is secluded and beautiful! ##### Stephen F. My husband and I met up with our adult kids and significant others a couple of weeks before Christmas. The home was quiet, cozy, comfortable, with a Christmas tree and great amenities. We didn't have to leave the house, and it was large enough that we could spread out if we tired of each other! Lovely river (just like the photo!). There was a very rare cool snap while were there so we got to use it as well. Loved the creek and the fact that we didn't have to climb a mountain to get to it. There were some steep climbs on the way to the cabin but a car shouldn't have any problems. The access road in front of the cabin only allows for one vehicle at a time so go slow and be prepared to back up if necessary.Kim was super accommodating and very flexible with me when I had to change my dates (luckily the cabin was available as it is usually booked solid). We played games, Took walks, and loved tubing on the river! This home had a great game room and tvs on every level.One great thing was the size of the two tables. We all could have dinner together. It was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Did I mention the wild life? Deer everywhere. We even saw a baby fawn that was about 2 days old. Still very wobbly. We loved it.
