This is a good, inexpensive place to stay when travelling through. This is a budget motel, so I'm comparing it to other budget places I've stayed.
We stayed in mid-November, so there's not much to say about the surroundings at the snowy start of winter. The motel is dated, but I can confirm what I read in other reviews - the room was very clean. This was my priority while travelling.
The motel is a minute or two off the highway, so you don't have to drive far, but it's far enough away that you don't hear highway noises. It's one exit away from the Grey Rock complex, so you're very close to restaurants, gas, etc.
The owner was communicative and came by to make sure we had what I needed when we got in at 9pm. The beds were comfortable, wifi was stable, and the room had all the basic amenities you need for an overnight stay.
Again, it's not a luxury accommodation, but if you're just looking for a safe overnight place to stay, this is a good candidate. I will certainly stay here again.
