This was the fourth time I had stayed there as I come to St. Albert to visit family. I had been a satisfied customer on earlier visits. This time on 2 of the 7 nights, the occupant upstairs stomped up and down the room until 3am which made it impossible to sleep. I reported this. I was required to use a coat hangar to start the AC unit each time ( I shut it off when I was not in the room to conserve energy) AND i did not complain. I asked only that my room be cleaned every 2 days to conserve time and energy. Yet when I requested an extra hour to check out, I was told that I had to pay $20 plus tax. I can only vouch for the room (# 1 ) that we stayed in for 3 nights. If you are looking for a place to sleep and shower this works.The room was very clean, no carpets, fresh bedding and the staff are friendly. Just a note there is no coffee in room or ice machines. There is a restaurant next door. I meet the manager and thanked her for the clean room. Shower handle fell off when used. We turned the heat off but had to buy a fan because the place would not cool off. The basic room was just that, a place to sleep for the night, with a good tv. It may not have been great, but it was not bad either and I compliment the staff for being friendly and for fullfilling my requests, while commending them on presenting a clean room, in fact cleaner than some 4 star hotels I have stayed at. The staff do their best with what they have.
