"Excellent local host, quick responses. Vintage decor and very clean inside the cottage. Easy access to Lac La Belle just down the street with a channel to Lake Superior (we’re kayakers). Loved exploring the Lake Superior coastline for miles- rugged rock outcroppings, small pebbled beaches, natural arches, and small caves. Centralized home base to explore the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula!"

Luxurious beachfront retreat on Lake Superior!

Luxurious beachfront retreat on Lake Superior!

10/10 Excellent
"Overall, an excellent stay at a very nice home in a perfect, quiet, lakefront location. We would have been happy to stay there the whole week without needing to go out for anything but food, but there are plenty of outdoor activities to do if you prefer a more active vacation. Also, the sunrises are spectacular from the main living area, the deck, or out on the beach behind the deck. There were a few quirks and minor issues. The kitchen seemed older than the 3 year age of the home given the amount of wear and tear as well as the older appearing fridge and dishwasher. Upon arrival, there were dozens of flies inside. We managed kill many of them throughout the week, but never could get them all. It almost seemed like the prior renter or the cleaning person had left the doors open without the screens in place for hours. They must know this is a recurrent issue as there were 3 flyswatters in the closet. There was a spot on the wall downstairs where wet sand had been flung against the wall, and it seems the cleaning person must have missed that. The vent in the downstairs bathroom wouldn't turn on. The window in one of the bedrooms was nearly impossible to open. Nothing here would have stopped us from renting this overall fabulous property. Just would have been nicer without these little inconveniences."

"Needed another sink in the bathroom. Very small room, especially when the pull-out couch was being used. No real problems though. It was nice to have the privacy that the cabins had."

Large Vacation Home Across from Lake Superior & Short Walk to Lighthouse!!

8/10 Good
"This property is located conveniently across the street from the beach. The property is best suited for a family, kids upstairs & adults downstairs in the large master bedroom. If you have chemical sensitivities, it may be helpful to know the linens & towels are laundered with scented products and there were numerous scented wall plug-ins. The smell of fragrance is quite strong upon entering the home. The home was clean & the kitchen well supplied for making meals."

Cute Waterfront House on Lake Superior

10/10 Excellent
"Great location for taking day trips around the Keweenaw Peninsula. It is just a few yards away from Lake Superior, and the enclosed porch is definitely the highlight of the place! Great for drinking morning coffee and seeing gorgeous sunsets, or just enjoying the sound of the gentle waves and looking at beautiful clouds. Since we stayed for an entire week and cooked most of our dinners there we appreciated the kitchen equipped with small appliances (waffle iron, blender, hand mixer) along with plenty of dishes, pans and serving bowls. Host was prompt in getting back to us when we had questions. There is a musty odor, don’t know what needs to be done to improve that. Overall it was a great experience, very peaceful and restful. We would stay there again."
