This is the best ski in/ski out location at the resort. Purgatory Lodge contains Durango Mountain Resort's premium amenities including outdoor heated pool with slide, hot tub, workout facility, and family game room adjacent to a private restaurant and bar. The single level condo is located on the 3rd floor (elevator access) and offers views of Spud Mountain as well as the main base area and the plaza. Each Purgatory Lodge unit has a ski locker. Bed Configuration (Each Bedroom has a TV): Master - King Bed (main level) 2nd Master - Queen Bed (main level) 3rd bedroom - Two sets of bunk beds (single over single) (main level) The Lodge's upper floor, which includes the private bar and game room, is closed during the off-season when the ski resort isn't open (fall and April and May) This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). NO CATS. Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance. The location was beyond perfect and it was so easy to get to and from the ski slopes with our three young children. Accessing the ski shuttle to go down to the lessons area was basically right outside the door and having a reserved parking spot and ski locker was an added benefit! We were able to easily eat lunch in the condo as well and take a little break from the cold. The condo was great and very spacious. Feb 5, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great location The location is fantastic- the property was an overall 3.5- working the the people from the property management group was fantastic- especially since there was an error with our check in- the technology is very outdated- the TVs don’t allow sign into Netflix or any other streaming - they had a speaker that takes cds(?) there is hardly any over head lighting- so be prepared for dark rooms, the lamps had several blown out light bulbs - and there wasn’t any dish soap for the dishwasher or replacement trash bags - the place was clean enough…. But could of been better - you can’t beat the location ! So I would probably stay again- I hope they update some lamps and TVs ##### Kellie W. So, if you are staying here you may want to bring a streaming device for tv service. The internet was not good. I tried working but using simple websites and email was not even functional. The power did go out on Friday night through Saturday morning but can’t imagine this should affect the internet and TV service through Monday night. Everything else was great. No starter pack for kitchen…left overs from previous renters…no dishwasher soap Grill needs repair.. heat shield non existent dirty Dishwasher - yuck Oven filthy Beds lumpy and non supportive Fireplace doesn’t light up fully Lint screen filthy No starter pack in bathrooms Bathroom very nice Quiet Towels and pot holders worn Light out over cook top Light bulb missing from lamp in living room I am providing this information, 1 to make sure what cleaning/management fee the owners pay actually goes to prepping the condo for the next renter and 2 that others know about the shape it’s in….a little maintenance and upkeep goes along way to satisfying renters. Jan 18, 2019 #### Ok unit The micro-wave does not work in this unit, the the heater, on the base board in the queen bedroom when it comes on, it is noisy, hard to sleep, & I can sleep with a lot of noise. Not a lot of bath towels in the unit, we had to use the pool towels, yes we washed the towels we used but did not have a lot. The pull out couch bed, well you know, bad. Now the good news: Condo has lots of room, nice beds (but do not stay in the queen bedroom), kids loved the room with the two twin bunk beds, nice kitchen with everything you need to cook & serve meals. Three real nice bathrooms ( but get some pool towels when you check in). Nice flat screen tvs in each room & in the family room, also they have several kids games in the unit. Purgatory Lodge, is very nice, love staying at this location. Ten straight years, I've taken the family to Purgatory, & stayed each year at Purgatory Lodge. Do not mind paying to stay at Purgatory Lodge, but should I expect, one bath towel for each person, a micro-wave that works, rooms with a heater that does not keep you awake, & a updated couch bed. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our visit was a wonderful experience as far as lodge and location. Elevator and parking was such an advantage. The only thing was the bunk beds were very hard and the king size bed had a topper on it that was way to soft. We sunk into it.
