It borders the National Forest and is about halfway between the historic towns of Durango and Silverton. This prime location is just 1 mile from Purgatory Ski Resort's entrance and approximately 25 minutes from downtown Durango, with scenic drives up to Silverton and Ouray. The kitchen was well stocked including basic spices, storage containers, cleaning supplies and everything you would need to make meals, plus a nice dishwasher. I enjoyed using the large copper kitchen sink. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The three bathrooms were spacious and well stocked including nice towels. We did not use the fireplace or the hot tub but both appeared to be very nice. This is a great location between Durango and Silverton. There are some small lakes nearby as well as a convenience store and gas station. The large TV’s were a nice touch as well as the coffee station. Reviewer Comments: The condo was perfect for our group. It looks even better than the pictures. It had everything we needed. The bunk bedroom is huge! Our family would definitely recommend and would stay here again. We came in the summer but would be an amazing location for winter and skiing. We walked to the Nugget twice for lunch. My kids loved the trails for hiking right behind the complex. We sat out on the patio every evening. Highly recommend! ##### Kelli H. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals including a fun coffee area. The 3 king beds (one bunk bed) was comfortable with nice pillows and blankets. The washer and dryer was available for guest use. We did not use the fireplace nor the hot tub but both appeared to be very nice. We felt safe staying here and the views of the mountains were great. This is a fun place to stay if you are visiting Durango but you don’t want to stay in town. We would definitely stay here again! ##### Terri R. The condo across from the lodge was perfect for the wedding festivities of my daughter's college roommate. We were close by but could escape to our beautiful and quiet accommodations. I have one suggestion. The morning sunrise was spoiled by the dirt and grime on the sliding doors to the deck. I would have cleaned them myself but we were too busy with wedding jobs. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We go 4 Wheeling every summer and this year we needed to take our dogs with us, so we came across this gem. We normally stay at a different place up the road from the silverpick but they do not allow pets. Their loss our gain as this place is much newer and very well equipped. Plenty of room and close to everything we do. The price was very comparable and the townhouse was very spacious unlike other places we have stayed. We will book again in the future. Mar 17, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great location for family ski trip Our family of 6 was comfortable in the condo for our ski trip. Location was great as it was probably 1 mile to the slopes. Check in and out was super simple and straight forward. We appreciated some kitchen basics were supplied like salt, pepper and cooking oil. It’s just nice not to have to purchase every little thing on vacation. It was convenient that the condo has 2.5 baths and also that a starter kit of soap, shampoo etc was supplied and plenty of TP. Nothing worse than showing up to a rental that only gives you a couple rolls for several days! We loved all the movies saved in youtubeTV… it made finding something to watch very easy! The only reason I knocked off a star was because the condo was 53 degrees inside when we arrived and it took quite a while to warm up to a comfortable temperature since a snow storm was blowing in, and there was pet hair on/in one of the beds. I know dogs are allowed (and we have a big dog at home), but I wouldn’t expect it to be in the bed. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. ##### Julie S.
