We did not expect this given the reviews we had read. Essentially the villa was only superficially clean. We arrived to find the previous guests’ washing up still in the dishwasher with no indication it had been washed. Previous guests had written ‘clean this’ in the dust and smears on different glass and mirrored surfaces. The floors felt sticky underfoot. The glass coffee table was covered in smears and the TV area was very dusty. The location is good and the little front garden is very pretty with numbers is visiting birds. But our stay was spoilt overall by a lack of attention to cleanliness."
