Dundee Vacation Packages

We are here for a conference held in Huntington Place. The location is perfect for airport shuttle. The stop is right in front of the hotel and shuttle only costs $6. It is also walking distance to the downtown with a lot of restaurants. First floor has a deli shop for some basic groceries.

We often travel to Michigan to visit family and staying at St. John's Resort was on the wish list. This most recent visit we booked a couple nights of the trip. This particular weekend St. John's was dealing with two large wedding celebrations but staff were still available to us for questions. Their famous steakhouse was prohibitively expensive for us so we tried a small meal for brunch. The server was attentive to us and all the tables he was tending. The food was good but nothing exceptional. The room was immaculate and well stocked with supplies. However, compared to the Hilton we'd just come from this room was smaller. The best aspect of the room was the quiet HVAC system. We were not awakened by a noisy heating/cooling unit; this was completely quiet. The bed linens were OK (the standard for us was Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.). If you're picky about having a firm pillow. pack your own. St. John's pillows are medium firmness. It wasn't terrible, we just had higher expections and turned out to be just OK.

Great location and fantastic Hotel.

Beautiful property but there wasn’t extra toilet paper and Kleenex in the room and the bathroom shelf wasn’t secure. It was also pretty warm and we didn’t have individual control of our room temp. A mini fridge would have gone a long way. There was also no tea in the lobby. I would stay there again in the spring or fall.

Enjoyed my stay at Trumbull and Porter. Only a few comments: 1. Staff was very friendly and nice. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Every employee we passed by in the halls greeted us. 2. Location is great. Within walking distances to restaurants, Michigan Central, etc. 3. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the bar, but it looked nice. Will definitely try next time. 4. Our room had a trolley with fresh towels. However, the trolley had some dust. Not a huge issue; I just cleaned the trolley myself. 5. Our room ran out of hot water in the morning. We called reception and they were very apologetic and said they would check the water heaters for issues. We never received a call back to close the inquiry, but we didn't have issues with hot water later at night or the following morning.
