Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Drežniške Ravne?
For most travellers, the best time to visit Drežniške Ravne is during the late spring (May and June) and early autumn (September and October) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and the natural scenery is at its most appealing.

Late spring offers comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for hiking the trails around Mount Krn or exploring the nearby Soča River valley. The wildflowers are in full bloom, adding a touch of colour to the landscape. This period is particularly good for active couples and families who enjoy walking and cycling without the intense heat of mid-summer.

Early autumn provides similarly mild weather, with temperatures usually between 10°C and 20°C, and the added beauty of changing leaf colours. The crowds are typically smaller than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more peaceful experience. It's a great time for photography and enjoying the local cuisine in a relaxed setting, appealing to those who appreciate a tranquil escape.

While summer (July and August) is also popular, with temperatures often exceeding 25°C, it can be busier.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Drežniške Ravne hotel for you.
