Come visit Skyfall Lodge in picturesque Sky Valley, Georgia! Enjoy the cool mountain breeze from our deck as it washes over you at 3,500 ft above sea level. Our recently renovated home offers 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths with two master suites! We offer a master suite with a queen bed on the main for those who need ease of access. Overall, Skyfall Lodge offers very few steps with plenty of access to the outdoors. A lovely screened in porch in the back offers a great place to relax and catch up. Or maybe enjoy our fire pit in the evening and chat about what you'll do tomorrow. We also offer access to the Sky Valley Community pool, tennis & fitness center. Tennis, fitness center and indoor hot tub are offered year round, the heated pool is open from roughly April 1 to October 31st. Like your morning coffee or tea on the patio? Just steps from our updated kitchen, you can sit on our covered porch with two big rockers. Maybe you want to enjoy outdoor dining? Don't forget those steaks for our gas grill! When they are done, everyone can join you for alfresco dining, and you might find you want to keep visiting and enjoy the evening air as your day comes to an end. Indoors there is plenty of seating for a large group with a formal dining room, breakfast bar and kitchen table. Our living room is comfortably decorated with a sleeper sofa and comfy couch for relaxing while watching TV or movies. Upstairs we have our book nook loft, with a comfy chair and good lighting to enjoy a book. Bring one of yours or borrow one of ours, it's a perfect activity on a rainy day. The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor, the 2nd master suite offers a queen bed, TV and a private bath and is off the loft area. The middle bedroom offers a queen bed and shares a jack and jill bath with the last bedroom which has two sets of twin bunk beds and a TV. Of course we have cable and wifi for those that can't leave technology behind, and if you need to have some fun, we offer access to the Sky Valley Country Club swim/tennis/fitness facilities! The Sky Valley golf course is public, so everyone may play. Full of charm and history, Sky Valley, GA offers a beautiful and challenging 18-hole championship golf course, a practice facility, a 13,000 square foot clubhouse, an open air pavilion, and an outdoor park. Skyfall Lodge chooses to provide guests with access to their heated swimming pool and tennis courts. However, if other outdoor fun is your goal, there are limitless hiking trails nearby with spectacular views and waterfalls. We offer a large binder at the house with over 30 hand picked hikes suitable for all age groups. There are also plenty of other activities to choose from in the area, just look through our binder or the brochures we provide! Just moments away are hundreds of shops, high-end restaurants with five-star chefs, award- winning vineyards, spas, arts and antiques. For the more adventurous, there are zip lines, whitewater rafting and trout fishing on the Nantahala and Chattooga Rivers or snow skiing in nearby Maggie Valley and Sapphire Valley. While the listing clearly states ‘Mountain home’ we weren’t fully prepared for the narrow and winding roads. The driveway is another feat to accomplish!The home is as described. As far as owner responsiveness to issues we were pleased. We had an issue with the Roku remote needing batteries and the key card for the Sky Valley fitness center being demagnetized but the owner responded promptly and we resolved both issues. The kitchen is well stocked as far as drinkware, plates, utensils, pots and pans. The kitchen and bathroom floors are filthy. The patio and furniture on it are also dirty. We would have liked to use it but we didn’t want to spend time cleaning it. ##### Diane B. House was well appointed, provided everything for our needs and great for privacy for 2 adult couples. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen and the screened porch. Lisa (our host) was an excellent and thorough communicator, and she responded to our only complaint (see below) in a reasonable and pleasant way. Regarding amenities and finishes: in some cases, the house is even better than the pictures indicated (two bathrooms have had a classy update, for example)! Our only complaint: In our view, the property was in need of a good, deep clean. As we perceived them, the listing photos didn’t give an accurate impression of its current state. The host interacted very amiably with us on the subject, and we had no issues with her whatsoever. If you’re able to adjust your expectations a tad, it’s a dandy place to stay. But - Online photos do reflect what the house looked like at a better time. Furniture is well used as are the kitchen cooking items. The beds were fine. House was dimly lit. This home can be much more inviting if deep cleaned top to bottom. It appeared to have been lightly cleaned before our visit and the outside area and grill need to be cleaned up. ##### Doug K. DIL needed to vacuum the upstairs railing and doorways for cobwebs. My husband and i washed down the outdoor chairs bc of moss and dirt. I know its hard to keep things clean in a mountain setting but they looked like they hadnt been touched in quite a while. ##### Arlene V. I would not stay at this house again. We selected this house to participate in a family gathering in Sky Valley for the Fourth of July week. Late at night the first night there, sitting on the couch watching a movie, I saw what I thought was a rodent run across the dining room from the kitchen area. My husband contacted the property manager/owner the next day to report the incident. The housekeeper was sent to put rodent traps in the house that day. We had made plans to be out all day to avoid dealing with a rodent being present. The next morning we heard noises coming from behind the couch. Upon investigating, my husband found a live rodent caught in a trap. We left the house immediately and my husband reported the rodent to the property manager. The housekeeper was sent to remove the rodent. We were offered a refund for the remainder of our stay, unfortunately with it being Fourth of July we couldn’t find alternate accommodations close to my family. We had intended to cook meals but all the equipment in the drawers and cabinets were old and the rodent had been in the kitchen area. The main fabric couch is not in good condition as shown in the listing. All the cushions are flattened and misshaped and the rug was dirty. The grills outside were dirty and covered with ash. The rugs in the downstairs full bath were worn out.
