Nice hotel in a great location for a trip to downtown Detroit for business or fun and good value to boot. Staff at front desk and throughout the hotel are very friendly and helpful and really make you feel welcome.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. For the most part it wasn't bad. Our room wasn't cleaned well. I know this because there were safety pins on the bathroom floor. If the floor was Swept this wouldn't have been missed. The carpet wasn't vacuumed as well. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming.

We showed up at 4:45 to check in and was told it would be another 20 min until our room was ready, we waited over 30 before going to dinner and returning later to check in. Upon getting to our room stuff was falling off the wall and the curtains were broke, there was also a dirty towel left behind by the window. They gave us some free appetizer coupons that we used but it took over 20 min for those to come out too! For 2 fried items. Theres no microwave in the room but there are small fridges. For the price we paid i wouldnt stay here again

Well one thing I really liked was the man who checked us into the hotel. He was kind, funny and considerate ... so considerate that when I forgot my phone and wallet and then went to lunch, he ran after us to bring it to me. Then our room high up on the 17th floor had a magnificent view of the riverfront and Canada! Yes I could see Canada from our window.

Great location for Downtown Detroit attractions. Riverwalk is a block away and Financial District stop of the free People Mover tram is just down the street. Great breakfast buffet and gym facilities. Staff helpful and friendly.

The staff was great. Lobby and bar area were great. Rooms are terrible. I had a “suite.” It was beyond tiny. Smaller than most regular rooms. The bedroom doors were windows and the extremely tiny bathroom was in the bedroom. So the kids would have to come in there to use it. Window frame was falling off, shower leaked, the futon couch was full of stains, and it was overall not clean. Way overpriced for what it was.

I liked the staff and the rooms were nice. I wanted riverfront view, but i was able to get part city, part river, it was nice. My husband and i were in desperate need of a mental break and we were able to get it.

I had a horrible experience. My first room had a broken lock. I called down and asked to be moved and also to a room that did not have a conjoining door for my safety as a solo traveler. They said they could and moved me to a room down the hall. This room had a conjoining room so they said ok I think this THIRD room is good. I go up to the third room and it had two conjoining rooms AND a huge piece of weave on the floor. I was too tired to switch thag night so when I came back after my work engagements the second day they finally set me up in a room that did not have a conjoining room and no weave on the floor. I get to the room take off my shoes and step on a dried contact… I the. Leave my room for dinner come back and there is a random right green zipper end on my floor that I am sure was not thaete prior. Disgusting horrible experience.

I did not like the fact that the heat in my room stopped working 2 nights in a row. The first night it took maintenance over an hour to come up. I had to call front desk twice. The second night, a young guy came up to fix the issue and he left the room smelling like weed. The parking situation is insane. $100 extra to park my car in valet but when I checked out my car was actually in an unsecured parking lot which costs less to park in over the weekend. Elevators.. old and slow! Had to take the stairs several times this weekend

Being from a really small town up north in MI, this was def a trip to the big city! I missed having a microwave (didn't get to snack on our delicious leftovers from eating in a fancy restaurant). Front desk gal & valets were very nice. The gal at the front desk has to answer several calls while checking us in, I would suggest a second employee up front

Paint peeling from the walls . Lights and tv did not work. Staff was unhelpful. They charge $40 valet to park no exceptions . The view from the room is the only thig that was nice. I can say much more but its not worth it.
