It’s set against a stunning lake, where you can do various activities and wildlife spotting. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I’d especially recommend the superior double, which looks out to the lake and the pool. We actually stayed at Mapakada Village a little by accident, during a storm - and we were so looked after, especially by Dinesh. He went above and beyond to help get us back to Negombo in time for our flight, actually driving us several hours himself, which was incredibly kind. Staying here for a couple of nights was exactly what we needed. Thanks so much!" The heated pool overlooking the lush green hills was an absolute highlight, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing evening swim even when the air cooled down. What really made our stay unforgettable was the outstanding team. Nishanthan and Rinoshkanth went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable at every moment. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth made the experience feel incredibly personal — from arranging our excursions to ensuring that even our smallest preferences were remembered. They made us feel at home while delivering 5-star service throughout our stay. The kitchen team — Chef Susantha, Chef Raja, and Kolith — deserve special mention. Every meal was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, whether we opted for Sri Lankan specialties or Western dishes. We originally booked our stay with breakfast included, but were pleasantly surprised to find a full à la carte menu available daily from 7am to 10pm, with the staff ready to serve lunch and dinner as well.
