"Just wow. Had a chance to speak with the owner, since he is on site and manages the property. This is his family home, turned into a boutique hotel. He and his staff take care of it as though they all live there and it’s their home, and you are their royal guest. Drinks and lunch upon arrival, and the food was the best food we had up to this date on our trip. Authentic, tasty, and made to order. The rooms were gorgeous. Kind of a mothball smell in our room, but outside of that, just incredible. Amazing service from the second our driver pulled up, which they arranged (for a small fee of course). They also arranged a “Colombo by TukTuk” tour for us that was a little pricey for what it was, but still took care of all the high points of Colombo. Massage was less than desirable from an outside therapist, but that’s not on them, that’s the therapist. Overall, blown away by the beauty, and if I was designing a home in a rainforest, this is what I would want it to look like."
