"Please note that this from the perspective of a westerner (Canada) — This was a very traditional Japanese resort. The baths and hot tub were great. Breakfast was a set menu and traditional Japanese fare — while it was an interesting experience, it was also very non-traditional for us. Best to have a vehicle when visiting here as town and restaurants are a 2 km walk or a $12-18 taxi ride. "部屋がとにかく広くて良かった。 設備は多少古くて、綺麗とは言えないがソファにカバーをかけるなどの工夫をしていた。 下の階に温泉や食事処があり、接客が特に良かった。 料理も安くて美味しかった。 温泉は宿泊者以外も利用する為、人が多かった。ロッカーの鍵がほとんど壊れているので注意。 漫画の種類も豊富で嬉しかった。 カラオケもあるので滞在中飽きない。 岩盤浴やプールが直ったら、是非また利用したい。"

"Quite far away from popular places like Ieyasu tomb & Edo Wonderland but worth the travel, especially when driving. Closest convenient store is about 10 mins walk from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and able to communicate excellent English. Another nice thing is they provided us with local sweets every morning with 1000 Yens voucher for nearby stores discount."

"The Facilities and the rooms are very nice. Dont let the star rating scare you off. The only reason they are below 5 stars is due to the location of the hotel. It is located at a very suburban area not much going on around the property (including restaurant) and you really need a car to get around the area. There is a local railway near by though. "

"The property is huge and awesome. We took a walk around and were impressed by the opulence… certainly a class of its own ! We enjoyed the peaceful lounge where we had a drink on the house. We loved the courtyard where we had a lovely French dinner. We also had a wonderful Japanese dinner. Both the meals were of high quality and reasonably priced. Service was immaculate! We had a 4-night stay and felt very much at home. The room design was classic and very well kept and the amenities were of high quality too ! Staff were very helpful esp Mr Ryn…There was always someone at the hotel front to receive us warmly. Although there were many on going private functions, we did not feel the crowd. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ! "

"The onsens were really great. Awesome breakfast, worth the extra cost. Moderate twin family room has 2 beds , 1.5 twin size. Not small as a twin, but not big as a double bed. Manga room massage chairs and free use space room were all great touches . The Lawson and bus stop across the street were super handy. 10 minute walk to Mito Station . Perfect for a stay in Mito! Will return! "
