This Crystal Beach home has 10 beds (2 king, 2 queen, 6 full) - it's the perfect spot for 3-4 families with children. Just a few steps away from Destin's world famous beach, you can literally smell the ocean as you sit out on the front porch at Casa Del Mar! This gorgeous home in the well known Crystal Beach neighborhood has been recently fully remodeled with new spa like master bathroom, new fully stocked kitchen, new flooring (no carpet!), all new linens, new paint, new furniture, new Roku Smart large size Ultra HD TVs and new lighting! This private oasis is the perfect spot for you and your family and/or friends to enjoy all that Destin and its beautiful emerald waters has to offer. Casa Del Mar offers a Master Bedroom with peek-a-boo ocean views from it's private porch, a double bunk room, and a queen room in the main house. Out back, just past the sparkling private pool, you will find a very well appointed air conditioned private Carriage House, with plenty of room for an entire family, as it has a Master King Room and a second bedroom with a full over full bunk bed. Being so close to the beach, we do our best to make sure you have everything you need to take full advantage of those sugar white sands! We provide a beach wagon with beach chairs and an umbrella, as well as a cooler with wheels so you can roll all of your gear to the beach with ease. MAIN HOUSE, FIRST FLOOR The first floor of the main house boasts a wide open floor plan with the brand new fully remodeled kitchen looking out into the roomy living room with brand new furniture and a large Roku Ultra HD Smart TV - the perfect place for your family and friends to gather. With a dining room table that seats up to 8, a breakfast bar with 6 bar stools, and a high chair for the littlest of your group, you'll find there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy whatever delicious meals you've prepared in our fully stocked kitchen using our stainless steel appliances. After dinner, there is plenty of comfortable seating for everyone to gather around the large Roku Ultra HD Smart TV for movie night. Use our smart TV to stream your favorite shows or movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime and more! Or use the DVD player provided. Your choices for TV entertainment are endless! BEDROOM & BATHROOM #1 - QUEEN, FIRST FLOOR Just down the hall from the kitchen, and past the full newly remodeled bathroom with an extra large vanity and shower/tub combo, you'll find a private and comfortable queen room with a Roku Smart HD TV, ideal for anyone who may need to avoid the stairs. BEDROOM & BATHROOM #2 - KING MASTER, 2ND FLOOR Just at the top of the stairs, you'll find the spacious and bright King Master bedroom. This private master suite offers a king size bed with a BRAND NEW luxury memory foam mattress, and a large Roku Ultra HD Smart TV, as well as plenty of space to store your things in the chest of drawers. Open the double doors from the bedroom out onto the private second story porch, which stretches across the entire front of the house. It's the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while catching the sun rise over the peek-a-boo view of the ocean. On the other side of the bedroom is the BRAND NEW FULLY REMODELED spacious spa-like master bath, featuring a floating tub and a fully tiled frameless glass shower, along with a large granite double vanity. BEDROOM & BATHROOM #3 - DOUBLE BUNK ROOM, 2ND FLOOR Fondly referred to as the "kids room" this over sized bedroom features two full-over-full bunks (that's 4 full-size beds) AND an additional queen bed, so there’s room for up to 10 children or 6 adults. In addition, you'll also find a "mini crib" on wheels, which can easily be rolled down the hallway to the master suite, depending on your preferred sleeping arrangements with the littlest member of your family. Attached to this bedroom is another full sized bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a single vanity. CARRIAGE HOUSE (BEDROOM #4 & #5, BATHROOM #4) Just outside the back door and past the private pool, you'll find the air conditioned private Carriage House, which is large enough to host an entire family of its own. Inside you will find two bedrooms connected by a hallway with a full size bathroom with a shower/tub combination and full size vanity, as well as a walk in closet. The first bedroom offers a King sized bed with its own flat screen Roku Smart TV and chest of drawers. The second room has another full over full bunk bed (that is 2 full size beds - large enough to sleep 4 children) and a cozy seating area, with another Roku Smart flat screen TV, along with a small granite top kitchenette, offering a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. Perhaps one of the most fun features of this stunning home is its beautiful private pool and large private back yard. Around the sunny pool, you will find an outdoor dining set, lounge chairs, a large grill, a large comfortable sectional great for socializing. Pool heat is also available for an additional fee. To top it all off, this gorgeous home is less than half a mile away from countless restaurants, activities and entertainment! Be sure to check out Destin Commons, a lovely upscale shopping and entertainment center full of restaurants, a movie theater, and a bowling alley! It fit my family of 13 very comfortably. The bunk room was awesome! The pool was even more awesome! Quiet neighborhood, beach right there. There were a few things I took note of and let Elizabeth know as most often, the host doesn’t know what needs replaced/fixed if guests do not let the host know. She was very easy to talk with and helped with a few things at the beginning of the week! Overall, a fantastic stay, a fantastic week and one of the hardest places to leave in the numerous times we have been to Destin. We have put Casa Del Mar as our favorite and hope to make it back soon and maybe to one of their other 4 properties! Oh, and there are crockpots. The parking next to the home will fit 3 cars but it's very tight fit and 2 is more reasonable. As an experienced short term landlord, I wasn't overly impressed with the home. The fridge has broken bottom selves, sand in all the beds as if the sheets hadn't been washed, no beach towels, the pool lacks interior lighting for nighttime swimming, the beach wagon needs updated, some beach chairs are broken, the backyard gate needs adjusted, black marks along the walls in the upstairs hallway, no hand soap in any bathroom, a possible presence of mold in the ceiling vent up stairs, broken shower door handle upstairs, the Tvs in the carriage house wouldn't work and overall the home seems worn needing a refresher. ##### Hillary B. Almost all the door handles were loose, the dinning room chairs were bent and made it easy to fall off, the handle to shower in the master room actually almost came off the door which made it hard to get into the shower. The bunk bed in the pool house wasn’t in the post which we fixed before the kids slept on it. Which was all kind of whatever, the most frustrating thing was the fridge had almost no shelves (they were broken) and drawer was also holding a shelf up so you really could use it. We had 13 people staying here for a week obviously we needed food but that cut the fridge space in half. It just seemed the over maintenance of the house has been neglected. The location was perfect and the beach you had access to was awesome and the kids absolutely loved the pool. ##### Kayla U. The house is a short walk to the beach and the area is calm. Everything is close by to be able to make a quick run to the gas station or grocery store. The house and cabana were big enough for the 12 of us and the pool was a big plus. The owner was quick to answer and very nice. The place is more sea green and peach despite its fluorescent appearance on the website, so that was a pleasant surprise. The rest of the photos are pretty accurate, the house is beautifully remodeled. The kids loved the heated pool, the “grandparents house” (aka the pool house), and the enormous kids room which could have slept our entire family. It is a block and a half away from the beach access, which takes about 5-10 minute walk depending on how much stuff and how many kids you have in tow. Neighborhood is top of the line but still attracts some noisy partiers at night so bring earplugs. We liked how close it was to upscale restaurants, shopping, and groceries all within a walk or minute drive. Owners are attentive, proactive, and very easy to work with. First of all, the house was spotless when we arrived. I am a stickler for cleanliness so this was a big deal to me. Second, this house was so close to the beach! Way closer than I even imagined based on when I checked the map. It was so easy to get to and from the beach, even with my kids. It also helped that the house comes with several beach chairs, umbrellas, a rolling cooler, and even a wagon to carry everything to the beach - the owners truly thought of everything. I could go on and on - the house was super cute and beachy, the pool was so nice and surprisingly private, even the string lights by the pool made for a super fun night time environment! The last thing I want to mention is how great the owners were to work with. They literally responded in minutes to any questions I had both before and during my stay, and clearly care a lot about their property. You can tell this isn't just a "rental property" to them - it is their home and the put a lot of time and effort into making sure their guests have the best vacation possible.
