Horrible lodge type accommodation.

Staff is very rude. Only 2 staff people in the entire so called "hotel". Breakfast is pethetic. Internet is only with wire. Charge about 85 pounds and treat as if they r giving u the room for free

Great stop over in the centre of Derby

Great stop over for the price with excellent breakfast, park in the into riverside car park if you arrive after 6pm the hotel will validate your ticket for £3 only for an overnight stay, PS ask for a Derwent river view

A clean hotel,good breakfast,close to town all at a good price.We were only on a one night stop of whilst visiting family. Will definately use again.

Nice hotel

2nd stay here as nice hotel for good price, hotel reception friendly and helpful, clean rooms and well equipped. The only downside this time was breakfast, no glasses for juice or cups for hot drinks, no cutlery and the hot food pans were mostly empty, only seemed to be one person trying to manage the area which was impossible as room was full, things came out eventually but in stages and as so many people waiting the items went quickly.

Nice hotel kids around the area don't help

I was suprised to find young kids hanging around the corners smoking, seems like they use to hotel corners to smoke weed.

Good but room for improvement

Nicely decorated in the room. Very clean and tidy. Mattress was quite firm for my liking. Shower plug hole could do with unblocking a bit so you don't end up standing in a pool of water. Good gym facilities. Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast.

Overall good could do something about the car parking charges.. Even though discounted still some other hotels wave the charge totally..

Modern, comfortable and very centrally located.

Modern, mid-priced hotel integrated into a shopping centre. Comfortable and centrally located. The breakfast was poor, however.

Everything you'll need.

Great hotel, location, service and price, what more could you want. Really handy for the bus station and city center. Definitely use again.

Hotel was ok. Strange lay out with Reception on the 4th floor, which doesn't really work. Room was comfortable though. Breakfast area is a bit small, and only one coffee machine, which meant everyone was queuing. I think once the rest of the outlets open in the area it will feel a lot nicer.

Nice hotel, poor manager and lack of communication

The hotel was as nice as we expected, but we had issues with regards to parking. They didn't tell us not to park on the top floor of Riverside car park, which is shut at certain times. We arrived on Saturday and the car park was full. We had to park on the top floor. We previously rang, to ask if we can park here, and they never mentioned about the top floor closure at certain times. On Sunday we went to get my car to find the top floor was completely locked and not due to open. We rang the hotel to tell them and the Manager didn't seem bothered about this, and told us that she would email the company of the car park to arrange for us to get out. She had given no apology and seem quite annoyed by us. We eventually got my car out, but the car park attendant told us this is not the first time this has happened

Overall is just ok as the location is near bus station. Room was clean but air condition made me crazy. Temperature was not right and got on and off your itself till my last night stay then was fixed. Breakfast was just gave you some food as it meant. The only good thing I can found was receptionists were friendly.

Basic City Centre Hotel

Basic city centre hotel. clean and tidy. Only parking at the shopping centre. breakfast is complete rubbish. Mcdonald's do a better breakfast and that's saying something. I wont be staying again. nicer hotels nearby for not a lot more.

Not the best

Rather strange check in experience.Senior member of staff rather rude and unpleasant to her junior team member whilst she was dealing with us and also later shouting across reception at her.She was also deliberately slow to respond when I went back with an enquiry. Found bits of a game under our bed. Breakfast OK though 'scrambled ' eggs were awful. Would return if I had no other choice but hadn't realised Holiday Inn Express was so close.
