The Bay House! Step back in time when beach houses were magnificent structures! This well-decorated house has beautiful pine floors and Mexican tile that artistically integrates styles in a refreshing way and sets the tone for a real getaway from the modern world. The home is well thought out with a 3rd-floor crow’s nest and bonus space on the ground floor that doubles as a hangout or extra bedroom. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, including a wet bar, a kitchen set up to entertain, and the always relaxing view and sounds of your private bay beach. There is ample outdoor space and multiple hangout areas for your group. It comes with outdoor games and is a short walk to the gulf beach, as well.

Gulf Beach access is 0.4 miles from the end of your driveway!

This property also includes an optional golf cart for an additional fee of $100/day (must rent for the entire stay). You will receive additional information regarding this option after you book your reservation.

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

House Rules:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. . This home is pet-friendly with prior permission. 2-Pet Maximum Limit - Dogs Only. $200 per dog per stay pet fee plus tax.

The best vacation ever!

Visiting as a family twice a year is a tradition we cherish, and over the years, we’ve stayed in some lovely places. But none have touched our hearts the way the Bay House did. It felt like home the moment we arrived—peaceful, beautiful, and filled with warmth. We’re already dreaming of coming back next year for two weeks, if we’re lucky enough to find it available.

Spring break getaway

The space in this house is only trumped by its location. You have your own private beach on the calm Bay side of the island. Then you have easy access to the public beaches on the other side of the island. All are within walking distance. My kids loved coming the beach for hermit crabs, watching the jellies float by and even saw a stingray. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay here and had a very relaxing time. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, would have liked to have some basic spices (salt and pepper ..). Also no towels or beach chairs was a little disappointing, especially for people who fly in. The Crows Nest we ended up not using as was a bit warm and we did have space for all without using - I do agree with the review asking for a tub lol Hard to bathe a baby without but we made do!Overall was a great stay!

Gulf Side

The house was the best we’ve stayed in over our 10 years of family beach vacations. It was the first time we stayed Gulf side & in a fishing friendly place. The view was different from ocean side but had its own beauty ocean views can’t offer. The community was friendly and welcoming. It was also stress free to get the code for the door which is one thing that has been frustrating with our other stays. The property manager was very nice and helpful.

Lovely House

Extremely comfortable. Super clean. Kitchen has everything needed to cook. Fast responses from messages. Plenty of room and seating for our party of 8. Fun ammenties include board/card games as well as corn hole. Perfect for families. Grassy areas to walk pet did not have any sand spurs. The board walk was really convenient. Path to beach is flat and easy to walk and travel with wagon. There is a pantry area to store food and 2 refrigerators which was incredible. Would 100% recommend and will definitely stay again. We hated to leave!

Relaxing stay

This property is located in a quiet area of Dauphin Island on the bay. We enjoyed the view, the tranquility and the house. Thanks for the like-new mattresses! Areas for improvement would be the beach equipment. Chairs and play equipment needs replaced. I'll say,though, that is is minor in the overall scheme of things. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful house

We had a great long weekend at the Bay House. It is so charming, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The view is great, feels very private. The decks are even more spacious than the pictures show. Our one complaint was that there is no door to the downstairs sleeping area. Also to get to the charming cupola bedroom you have to go through the master bedroom. It was ok for us because we are a family but might be a problem for some.

Amazing stay in the offseason

The initial reaction to the house when you step in the front door is “WOW”, the amazing view of the Mississippi Sound on the north side of the island takes your breath away. The house had plenty of space for my wife and I, two friends that traveled, and our Airedale terrier. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and gadgets and the two refrigerators we had plenty of cold storage for food and adult beverages. The house is a short walk to public beach access. The management group was more than accommodating when we had questions about the island and our parking pass. We even met the home owner who also was very friendly.

Such a pretty house, lovely setting, and bedroom/bath set up was perfect as we were 3 single people and a couple. Each of us having a bathroom with our room was such a treat. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was on cleanliness. While the kitchen was well stocked, it is in desperate need a good spring cleaning. The cabinets were a bit dirty, disorganized and made no sense, and much of what we pulled out to use we felt the need to wash first. An easy fix that can be done in an hour. We also had a little visitor that shared our bagels and a potato. Not anyone's fault, it is just nature. Just letting you know. But again, absolutely fantastic time and so enjoyed your house on the water!!!

The bay House

Nice home with a beautiful view. Crows nest room smaller than it appears. Also stairs to crows nest room are off a master king room. Be prepared to wake up with the kids.Shower in middle king room no hot water. All showers are small. No tub in the house. Hard with children not having a tub. Not the best cleaned. Needs kitchen utensils. Over all a nice stay.

Nice and comfortable, but

Unkept and overground. Nicely decorated and fully furnished with the latest. Would stay again IF, everything was operable. Upstairs TV could only be watch if subscription was made. Bathrooms had dirty towels in them with mold and mildew in shower stalls. Bedding is very comfortable with plenty pillows. One toilet had wiggled its way from the floor mount, so it caused a problem. It rains the whole time of our stay, so if the grounds outside was kept, it would have been nice to went outside and enjoyed that area underneath and around the Bayhouse. Good area of the island to enjoy peace and quiet with little to no tourists.

Beautiful views

We had a wonderful time here, the home was great and had everything we needed for our stay. The back deck had such amazing views of the bay! We spent most of our days and evenings sitting out there talking and taking it all in. There is some construction going on next door. A notice for that would have been nice as it was VERY loud, but over-all we had a wonderful time!

A lot of potential but in much needed maintenance

The property is rundown and needs maintenance and overall TLC. It also had not been cleaned properly, there was mold in the bathrooms and dust and dog hair throughout the house. If these items were addressed it would be a great house to stay at.

Lovely - relaxing- low key vacation

Family of four adults spent the week at this lovely decorated rental. The view of the bay was so relaxing. We rented chairs and umbrellas and spent our days going to our own private beach on the bay. We did not venture out much because we loved the location and enjoy cooking. When the grill wasn’t.working well, they replaced it with a new one. We spent our nights on the deck playing cards and having cocktails. Made a morning trip to USS Alabama and Fort Gains. Best part of the trip was having our dogs with us. Wonderful trip.

Beautiful and relaxing

Overall this was a beautiful and fantastic place to stay. We were there with 4 adults each wanting our own room. We wanted to relax, enjoy nature, play games, cook our own food and unwind for a week. This was achieved. The kitchen was very big with plenty of the necessary items for cooking.. There were lots of cute plates and glasses so we did not have to constantly do the dishes. Plenty of storage and very clean. The laundry was right off the kitchen on the first floor so very convenient. I would say a new regular coffee pot would be nice instead of the keurig. The one that was there worked but the top was slightly broken. There were two refrigerators which was handy. The dish washer was rusted on spots on the racks but worked. The knives definitely need sharpening or replacement. I have stayed in similarly priced houses where the kitchen cooking and storage items were organized and the drawers labeled. That would have helped a lot. The dining table was large, overlooked the bay and plenty of room for eating and games. I would suggest tightening it so it does not wobble. The living area was just off of here and had a great TV and electric fire place which came in handy some days. The sun room was also very cute. The porch was wonderful, looked at the bay, plenty of chairs, a hose to rinse off the sand. This was our favorite spot to sit and relax. The beach on the bay was an easy walk. The beds were very comfortable and clean. We were planning on using the third floor look out bedroom but it was extremely hot and humid when we arrived and did not cool off easily. Our temperatures ranged from 81 the beginning of the week to 32 the end! It took the first day to cool off using a fan to blow the air up to that area. So one adult slept in the day bed which was passable but not the best. Overall temperature regulation was a challenge in part due to the very fluctuating outside temperatures. We are used to the well insulated houses of the north as well!! Also you cannot open the windows and the third floor windows and several others were a challenge to see out of we think due to the double pane seals. Plenty of bedding and closet space and bathrooms. The location was excellent. A short drive to the west end of the island for fantastic ocean beach walks and amazing sunsets. It was extremely quiet and not too populated when we were there. I have tried to give an honest review and overall would stay here again
