Pacific Coast Highway runs on the back of the property and so does the railway line. If you can ignore the occasional noise from the train passing by (it is the Surfliner), then all that you can hear is the noise of the waves slamming into the beach on the balcony side of the house. I could sit there all day listening to it. Also, at night you can leave the door open (screen door closed) and hear the waves as you are going to sleep. It is safe to do so since there are no surfers or beach goers at the location (it is quite a ways from the entrance to the beach further north). Inside the house, everything was in place and very clean. This is a dream property. ##### Manfred K. We did have some unusual difficulty with the kitchen faucet, and I am happy to say we had a prompt response and resolution from the Property Manager- even during a holiday weekend. The property was clean, well appointed, and the privacy much appreciated. The access to the shore is just as expected from the property description and the children loved it. (The parking across the road from the property needs a bit of trimming. While beautiful, the shrubs are hanging over the wall and have big thorns which can scratch the children and the auto paint.) The house was the perfect set up for our family and we enjoyed eating in, playing cards, and just reading on the back deck watching and hearing the ocean sounds. The gated community was a huge bonus.
