The food was okay, not great for the cost with breakfast buffet being mostly cold (as in eggs, bacon, pancakes). To be honest I found most of the staff to be unfriendly bordering on almost rude, it was always as though you were an unwelcomed inconvenience."

The little bar is nice to come back to and have a quiet beer. Location perfect! Price point perfect! A bargain actually in Chamonix. Quick walk to food, entertainment, services and transport. Will be coming back any time I am in town. Its not the Ritz Carlton, and doesnt claim to be. It does an amazing job being what it is. Hotel La Verticale fits its niche perfectly. "
