Scotland’s oldest highland games are held on the last Saturday in June. This area is known for its spectacular coastline and pretty fishing villages, white sandy beaches and coastal walks. St Andrews is just over 8 miles away and makes a great day out with plenty of places to eat, quaint shops as well as high street names and tourist attractions. For golf enthusiasts, as well as championship and family friendly golf courses there is the Scottish Golf Museum to visit. For days out Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are all within an hour’s drive.
