Luxury Cottage in the heart of St Andrews.

  • Welcome to No. 8 Southfield. No.8 is an extremely comfortable stone-built cottage dating from the 1890s located in a peaceful private development within 5 minutes walk of St Andrews town centre and 15 minutes walk from the Old Course. Fully modernised, furnished and equipped to a premium standard, the house comprises 2 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen and back garden. The dining room serves as a 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds. No. 8 is a perfect location for families or groups visiting St Andrews for any reason.

    No. 8 is furnished and equipped to a luxury standard with everything you could need for an exceptional, relaxing stay as you explore St. Andrews and the beautiful surrounding areas. The patio style back garden includes table and chairs and a small BBQ allowing outside eating. WiFi, TV, music system, washing machine. tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, nespresso machine and filter coffee set are all included. The property also comes with a private car parking space allowing hassle free access to the heart of St. Andrews.

    No. 8 was new to the short term rental market in late 2019. I look forward to welcoming you to the cosy cottage, if you have any questions please just ask.

The pictures don’t do this house justice! We had a wonderful stay and really appreciated the space and the walkability to restaurants and sight seeing. Having a designated parking space and laundry facilities was really helpful as well.

This is a lovely cottage in an excellent location in Saint Andrews - it is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Communication with the host was easy, and the host sent us a helpful booklet with information about the house and the town before our visit. The cottage has a beautiful terrace accessible from both the kitchen and the dining room. The kitchen is very well stocked and includes both a washing machine and a dryer. Highly recommend! A

Awesome stay in St Andrews

This home was perfect for our stay in St Andrews. It had everything you could need, was clean, and is extremely close to the downtown area. The owners were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and provided great local knowledge. Check in was very easy. We’d definitely stay here again.

Weekend in St Andrew’s

We had a great weekend in St Andrews. The house was in great condition and in an absolutely perfect location. All mod cons were included and the private parking space was a great bonus. Communication with the owners before and after was spot on too.

Lovely cottage

We had a great stay, the location is ideal for everything on offer in St Andrews. Communication with the owner was very good and the pictures do not do justice to this lovely property. Should we be back in St Andrews we would not hesitate to return to this property.

This was the perfect property for our visit to St.Andrews! Everything was close and convenient - truly a walkable location. Our hosts, Ross and Kath, were so amazing and extremely helpful when the golfers in our group needed a ride and no cabs were available. Beautiful condo, fully stocked with everything we needed, large and very comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice flat, well furnished and stocked ( a bottle of wine and shortbread were both welcome upon arrival). Walking distance to shopping in St Andrews. An ideal choice for a St Andrews visit.

Charming stay in St. Andrews

We enjoyed our stay in St. Andrews. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We especially appreciated the location. We walked to castle, the cathedral, the old course, the harbor, and more. Shopping and dining were also close by. It made for a great vacation.

Golfing Holiday

The cottage and location were exactly as described and well placed for all of the activities around St Andrews. The cottage itself was very clean, well equipped and exceptional comfortable.Most importantly Kath and Ross our hosts could not have been more helpful, we had to make a small change to our booking which was dealt efficiently and without any fuss. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage and the hosts to individuals or family's visiting the area.

Thanksgiving weekend stay

Kath was proactive with suggestions for our visit and very responsive to questions. Check in was without issue and apartment afforded plenty of room for our family of 4. We were comfortably warm for some chilly nights and had plenty of natural lite during the day. Location was a simple and tranquil walk to St Andrews. We enjoyed the time thoroughly.

PERFECT LOCATION WITH ALL THE AMENITIES~

We stayed for 3 nights in September 2024. Home was spacious and comfortable. Host provided lots of info on the home and the town. We would stay here again and would gladly recommend to others travelling in the area. One note, there was a few scented products in the home, this was an issue for one of our party with allergies.
