This was a delightful and large cottage in a pleasantly rural area outside of Bayeux about 10 minutes away by car. The cottage has a large open area on the main floor -- kitchen, dining area, living room -- as well as a bathroom, a small bedroom, and a larger bedroom. The second floor has three bedrooms and another bathroom. The host lived just across the way, and was available if we needed him for anything. The coast (Arromanches, Juno Beach) is about 30 minutes away. Mont St. Michel was about 90 minutes west of the cottage. A car is an absolute necessity for this location.
