Close to the beach--Tiny House Feel, 1 BR/1 Bath, In-Town, Dogs OK!

Welcome to the Coral Cottage. This adorable 1 bedroom/1 bath detached cottage has a tiny house feel is perfect for an escape to the beach, a fishing weekend, or a romantic getaway. This house was originally in Old Town Port Aransas, but was moved to its current location and completely remodeled including shiplap feature walls and reclaimed wood accents.

Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the house features a living room with a full size sofa, a kitchen with granite counters, a small breakfast bar, a full-size refrigerator, a full-size range, and a microwave, a separate bedroom with a double (full) bed and a closet, and a full bath with a recently-remodeled walk-in shower.

Outside, you'll find a private yard/picnic area and one reserved parking space for the house. Additional street parking is available. Coral Cottage is next to Deja Blue--a 2 bedroom/2 bath bungalow. Larger groups can rent both units and sleep up to 8 guests. Please contact the owners to book multiple units. To preview the Deja Blue house, the VRBO listing number is 1623849.

Your stay includes a smart television, wireless internet, bath towels, linens, kitchenware, paper products, and dish/hand/body soaps. Please bring your own beach towels. There is not a clothes washer or dryer in the house, so please plan accordingly. We look forward to seeing you soon!

This property is dog friendly and we welcome you to bring ONE dog as long as they are not listed as an aggressive breed and are well-trained. We have a maximum weight limit of 50 pounds. All dogs must be approved prior to arrival. Please message with the age and breed of your dog since we have restrictionson age, size and breeds. Puppies and dogs on the aggressive breeds list above are not allowed. Pet cleaning fee of $50 per dog for the entire stay. Guests who bring a pet without approval will be charged a fine of $200 and will be immediately evicted from the Property without refund for remaining days on reservations.

Great Location

Cute place with almost everything as described! For taller folks - be aware that the shower head is mounted pretty low and may take some maneuvering to use. Bath towels were thin, so glad we had brought some of our own that we could use for showering. And, as other reviewers said, the bed is really squeaky. But, aside from those small things, this was a cute place that was in a great location. We rented a golf cart and had plenty of room to park that, and our SUV, in the one designated parking spot. Fun weekend and would rent again. Thank you!

Great little retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at this darling house. Everything was as advertised. There were, however, several things we would like to bring to the owners attention. The mattress is great, but the box-springs crack and creak unbelievably. And, the caulking in the bathtub was cracked, full of mildew and totally ruined the bath experience. Those are very simple things to correct and I do hope the owners take care of them :-)

Martin Luther’s King Holiday weekend

The pink casita was super cute, perfect spot good drive to the beach. Great gateway stay. The only compliant was it had a funny smell after using the oven. Then the bed was a pretty bed frame but very squeaky. The other compliant was all the gray hair on the bed box not sure if it was human or dog hair. When we walked in there was a dead roach. So cleaning needs to be a little better. But I really liked pink casita. We enjoyed our weekend.

Great beach stay

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and it was lovely. Just as described. Had all the essentials and short 3 min drive to beach. Walking distance to plenty of things and safe neighborhood.

Everything but the pool!

We were happy with the appearance and comfort of the house. When we arrived, the pool was about 6 inches low and the aerator was splashing and noisy. We contacted the manager. She looked at the pool and said the water level was right. By the next day, the pool was half empty. I texted the manager and he replied the pool wasn’t included in the rental! I have a photo of the Vrbo ad that described the property as one bedroom with a pool. I felt his reply was very unprofessional. They finally filled the pool on Friday, but by Saturday morning, it was empty. There is obviously a serious problem. We would definitely stay at this house again if the pool situation is fixed.

Great location, great for short stay

Stayed 2 nights at this property. Check-in was bumpy, but quickly resolved. Only downside was no extra linens for sleeping on the couch that we could find. Overall, another great stay in Port A!

Perfect Little Island Getaway

It was a very nice place near the beach and very welcoming. The right amount of space for me, my girlfriend and our dog. It was clean, cozy and bright and nice being so close to the beach. Easy check in/check out process. I was able to rent a golf cart through the property managers and it was there waiting for me when we arrived. That was super convenient. The location was perfect. We were so close to the beach on one side and so close to restaurants, stores, gift shops, gas stations, etc. on the other. I would highly recommend this property.
