Known for excellent fishing, swimming beach, kayaking, canoeing, boating. Brunet State Park, Old AbeTrail, Chippewa River Bike Trail, within 1/4 mile, and the Ice Age Hiking trail is directly outside of town. On Atv/ Utv/ Snowmobiles route/ trail. Several other area attractions within a short drive including Holcombe Flowage. As IAT hikers, the most important things for us are comfortable beds at the end of a long day of hiking. This place definitely fit the need. The small kitchenette worked fine for our easy meals, the beds were comfy, and the neighborhood was quiet (unlike the place we stayed on Hwy 64!). The furnace is loud, but we were so tired it didn't bother us. Communication with the owners was great, and they answered questions right away. Needed a place to sleep when visiting the area and this was just right for our family. Nicely updated, clean, and had all the amenities needed to be a step up from a hotel room yet conveniently in town. Bedrooms were surpiselingly spacious for a small cottage and we never felt crammed with our 3 kids. Owner was responsive and to the point and the overall experience was seemless.
