Located 14 miles from downtown Floyd on 24 acres, guests can enjoy hiking trails, fishing, and relaxing in the hot tub after their day's events. A private deck with a gas grill and seating is the perfect place to grill your catch of the day, a steak or burger, or relax and watch the sunset. During the winter, you can get cozy in front of the wood stove while reading a book. In the summertime, soak up the sun while paddling in the pedal boat, enjoying a beverage on the deck, or driving the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes away. At 2500 feet in elevation, the summers are warm, but not hot and humid, while the winters are mild with a nip in the air and snow on the ground in late January and early February. Leaf peepers will be in awe of the changing poplar and maple leaves in the Fall and in the Spring forsythia, tulips, and blackberries are a mainstay. Conveniently located within the triangle of Floyd, Roanoke, and Blacksburg, Virginia, restaurants and activities abound. Our neighbors include some humans, but we prefer the bears, bobcats, groundhogs, foxes, rabbits, deer, herons, woodpeckers, kingfishers, finches, and bald eagles. Upon your arrival, snacks and beverages will greet you as you find a studio style kitchen complete with a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, a Keurig coffee maker, flatware, and dinnerware. The living area consists of a rocking chair, ottoman, comfortable love seat, woodstove, and a smart TV with wi-fi and a DVD player. The sleeping area includes a queen-sized bed, and the bathroom consists of a marble floor with a fully tiled walk-in shower. Well-lit with natural light, this 400 square foot Clubhouse feels much larger with its open floor plan. We had an absolutely lovely time and the owners clearly spent alot of time and energy curating a beautiful space. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hottub and exploring the on property hiking trails! A beautiful quaint spot, and well worth the price... no regrets at all, other than accidentally breaking the tire swing... Whoops! The clubhouse was a quiet little retreat with all the comforts you need for a tranquil getaway. We spent the weekend here for our anniversary and it was more than we could have hoped for. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The property is peaceful and the views are stunning. The lake and the trails are wonderful, lots of places to sit and take in the view. Floyd was also surprisingly fun! We stumbled into an open mic night with amazing pizza. I’d highly recommend this place! Only watch out is ceilings are a little low. Anyone over six feet would be ducking, but the space is so pretty you don’t spend much time indoors! ##### Renée P. This property is exceptional! We had a weekend away and this property was exactly what we were looking for. The studio was private, very clean, had thoughtful amenities, and the attention to detail is clear. We so enjoyed taking a sunset hike around the property and found handfuls of wild blackberries while the bunnies munched on grass beside us. We had the pleasure of running into the hosts and can’t say more about how pleasant they both are. 10/10 recommended!! ##### Margaret K. The host was amazing leading up to our stay including recommendations for places to visit around town, and even leaving my husband a small birthday cake, gift and card. Such a pleasant surprise. The location was breathtaking, and the house was absolutely perfect. Before arriving, I asked the host about fishing the pond and got the impression we could catch a few but it wouldn’t be much… boy were we wrong. My husband caught at least 15 fish within a few hours. He got to fish, and I got to relax in the hot tub with a cup of (provided) coffee! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this trip, and we hope to return next year. ##### Tiffany S. This property is super cute. The owners have done a beautiful job blending the old with the new. It has everything you could possibly need or want. They even provided toiletries, snacks and beverages. The location is very serene with a pond and hiking/walking trails. We really enjoyed taking a hike then soaking in the hot tub. The land is well manicured with beautiful flowers and trees. In addition to the studio being really cute, it was also very clean. The hosts were very personable. You kind of felt like you were staying at a friend’s place. We would highly recommend this property. We would 100% stay there again. 10 out of 10 for sure! ##### Jeanette H. This is the seventh year we've gone to Floydfest to celebrate my birth week. Staying at The Clubhouse made it our best Floyd trip ever! From the booking process, throughout the stay, and even after we returned home, the correspondence with Pam and Matt has been exceptional! They welcomed me (unexpectedly!) a month earlier when I drove up to view the location. The clubhouse is adorable, and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. There were several nice little surprises such as snacks, drinks, etc. The grounds are beautiful, and we loved the well-maintained hiking trails, sitting areas, and gorgeous views around the property. Our morning soaks in the hot tub were a fantastic way to start every day. We were even lucky enough to see a bear the first day there. I can't say enough about how perfect this place was, and we can't wait to go back again next year (and hopefully sooner)!
