The room was clean, but dated. There was a huge gap in the door to the hall where light came through. I’m not sure how secure that made the door. The breakfast had many choices. I appreciated that various choices of drinks were available all day.

I was not aware that this historic 100-year-old hotel was under construction and recently purchased by a famous chain hotel. My room on the 6th floor was spacious, but I could hear the highway noise and absolutely could NOT block out the street lights given that there are no curtains, only wooden blinds that do not completely shut. Hopefully the new management will add curtains and some sort of sound barrier to block the nearby constant highway noise. I will give two thumbs up to the very friendly and welcoming staff. It was also the perfect location for where I needed to be. If I were to stay in the future, I would absolutely inquire about whether or not they add blackout curtains. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.
