With a balcony, air-conditioned rooms, and a free Wi-Fi connection, the apartment can provide a very comfortable stay. ADDITIONAL INFO There is plenty of space for up to 6 travelers to rest! This apartment has two double bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the third bedroom. All bedrooms have wardrobes and chests of drawers for your clothes and some extra shopping! The heart of this lovely apartment is the living area with many large windows overlooking the picturesque streets of Como. This large room features a very comfortable sofa, a dining table, designer furniture, and a compact and well-equipped kitchen zone. In the bathroom, there is a washer and a dryer. EXTRAS In this property, pets are not allowed. Baby beds are available at an extra cost. Extra cleaning and linen are available at an additional cost. Transportation can be provided, please contact us! ACCESSIBILITY There is an elevator in the building for easy access to the apartment. It is on the 4th floor. PARKING The historical center of Como is mainly a pedestrian area. The nearest parking is available in Viale Varese, about 300 meters from the apartment. You can park your car only within the blue stripes. Pay time is from 8 am to 8 pm. Pay at the machine and get the ticket to be put on the dashboard inside your car, or use the “EasyPark” app. There are also paid parking garages nearby: “JASCA” in Piazza Volta, “CENTRO LAGO” with an entrance in Via Recchi, \\"VALDUCE” in Viale Lecco, and \\"TRIBUNALE” in Via Auguadri. HIGHLIGHTS AND HOME TRUTHS: \>Absolutely central location. \>Very spacious and suitable for large families – such big apartments are not very common in Como city center! \>The outside area can be a bit noisy but there are really nice bars and restaurants just downstairs! NEIGHBORHOOD The property is in the historic center of Como – a lively area with modern bars, restaurants, and shops as well as historical churches and buildings. In high season, expect the streets to be busy all day long. In winter, it is usually quieter. GETTING AROUND The main sightseeing objects, Lake Como, and train stations are just a walking distance away from the apartment. In the city of Como and nearby towns, ASF Autolinee buses are in operation. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (bus station in Piazza Matteotti in Como, bars, and tobacco stores). Taxis are also available. From the pier, a local ferry service will take you to Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website. From Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a train connection to Milano Cadorna. The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost. TIPS \>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas. \>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must. \>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle! \>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. It connects the little towns from Colonno to Griante. A bus will take you from Como to the starting point in Colonno. \>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes. \>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly. \>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is not recommended and is mostly forbidden. There are beaches in other lakeside towns. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. \>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Oct 14, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, location Disliked: Listing accuracy Location was good, no real views. I booked this particular property for the washer dryer and 2 showers. The dryer did not work (no heat) and management made no apparent effort to get it repaired. I also booked for the "2 showers". The listing, when I revisited it, said outdoor shower and 1 shower. There was of course, no "outdoor shower" and just one small indoor shower. There was a bathtub that had a handheld wand, but that in my opinion does not qualify as a true "shower". Check in was quite cumbersome, having to go to a luggage storage location about half a mile away which, with bags over rough streets and sidewalks, was not an easy walk to/from the train station. And this picture is definitely not the unit we stayed in. ##### Ginger K.
