"Great hotel for a quick stay"

"I like the room, the balcony, and the overall appearance of the hotel.The property itself was beautiful. Unfortunately, my birthday experience was ruined by poor room service customer service. When I called to order food, I was repeatedly transferred back and forth between two employees. As someone who uses an accessibility device for Deaf and Hard of Hearing communication, this was especially frustrating. I eventually asked for a manager, who handled my order professionally and made sure my food was delivered. I appreciate the manager's help, but the experience left a negative impression. I was also disappointed by the nightclub experience. As a hotel guest celebrating my birthday, I asked if there was any special access or VIP accommodation and was told no. After seeing the long line, I ended up returning to my room and missing my dinner reservation. The day pool party was the highlight of my stay. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the seating rentals were extremely expensive. Another downside was the location. Transportation costs were very high, with Uber rides often costing $60-$80 each way. Because of this, I was unable to enjoy all the activities I had planned. While the room and pool area were excellent, the poor room service experience, expensive transportation, and disappointing birthday experience mean I would not stay here again. "Catfish Hotel - online pictures are amazing, looks like they were taken years ago because IRL I barely recognized the hotel from the photos. Location was great. Near the beach and restaurants. We had live larvae on our pillows when we walked in the room. We had about five of them, so we flushed them down the toilet and cleaned up the bed. Thinking it was a one-off. Next day we didn’t see any bugs until we got back from dinner. New bugs with wings were dead on our little refrigerator, we had about 20 of them just dead on there. Funny thing is, we walked out of the room with no bugs on there, house cleaning literally walked in after us and when we returned we found 20 bugs dead on the window of the refrigerator, so weird. So I took pictures, walked to front desk, showed them pictures of the bugs, they said they will clean it up and never did. We checked out the next morning. If we visit South Beach Miami. We will look for another hotel. Was not impressed with cleanliness or service. I’ll spend the extra $20-$40/night and stay next door, we checked out those properties and they are actually clean."
