DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT: from the entrance, give on the right the bedroom (queen-size bed 160 cm) and the bathroom (bath, WC, washing machine). To the left, a first living room with TV and glass view of the courtyard, then, after three steps, a second living room with an armchair convertible into a very good single bed (80 cm), library and internet connection (cable or Wifi) and finally, in continuity, a well-appointed separate kitchen (fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher). Direct access to the courtyard equipped with garden furniture, by the entrance or by the kitchen. The apartment is planned for 2 to 3 people (A double bed and an extra bed for 1 person). It is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Cleaning service offered at the end of the stay for 40 euros. All shops, covered market, caterers, restaurants nearby. Sheets, pillowcases, towels, kitchen towels, vacuum cleaner, cleaning and washing products (dishwasher + washing machine) are provided as well as a small "grocery store" for troubleshooting. The gite is located ideally in Little Venice backing up on the River Lauch and literally around the corner from the bridge. The centre city is within easy walking distance. There are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Be aware that as a gite not all necessary supplies are available and the tub has very high sides. The location is perfect to explore the old town. Felt like I was in a fairytale. Everything was wonderful at La Maison Bleue. Hosts, Brigitte and Christian are very nice people. Even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. I enjoyed every moment of my stay. It is right in the heart of Colmar, but still quiet. Loved walking to everything, especially the covered market. Enjoyed the private patio. Close to several restaurants, bars, photo ops, souvenir shops, bakeries, everything. The owners are very sweet and accommodating and even provided us with a rise to and from the train station even though our train was definitely not on our side the day of our arrival. Lol. It is right in the old town of Colmar - we could watch the children sing Christmas songs in their barges on the canal right from the kitchen window! An easy walk to everything. Very clean, very cozy, very pleasant. Plus Brigitte and Christian were kind enough to pick us up at the station and explain how to work things at the apartment. Brigitte and Christian's home has everything necessary for a great stay. It offers you the ability to dine in or easily explore the many wonderful restaurants nearby. We were able to see all the sights by foot and by the easy Kutzig bus to the charming villages in the valley. The personal touches were above and beyond, from the ride to and from the train station to the welcome basket of goodies, complete with Brigitte's jam! We had an issue with a train strike and they came to our aid like close friends would. The location is ideal, right on the canal in Petite Venice with a large patio and garden to enjoy your coffee, meal or drink. The clean snd sparkling home has everything you need to enjoy your visit. Incr double hosts and wonderful authentic timber house We loved our stay. Brigette and Christian are the sweetest two people we have met. Their home is ideally located in the Petite Venice part of Colmar. The house is authentic, on the canal, and one of the many photographic sights of Colmar. The house is as pictured but exudes so much more charm and personality than a photo can convey. The location is close to a hordes of restaurants. The house provides a soothing haven from the tourists without leaving the center of activity. I wholeheartedly recommend this home. You will have an excellent stay.
