North Farm Lodge was an idyllic spot for a Christmas break.
North Farm Lodge was an idyllic spot for a Christmas break. It’s peaceful and isolated and we had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. The lodge is spacious, warm, well equipped and quiet, and we had everything we needed, and Christmas decorations and some useful and tasty goodies, which Andrea and Mat had left us. Mersea Island is a joy - friendly, attractive, with lots of walks, plenty of good pubs and the sea ever present. You do need a vehicle, and the lodge has good private parking. The only drawback -or perhaps bonus - is that the island is cut off at high tide, so you do need to know the low tide times when you arrive or leave. All in all a 5* experience. Many thanks.
