Some people are looking just for the beach and those are most of the ones who repeat, Proximity to three places Kennedy Space Ctr Visitor center (24 mi-40 min), the USSSA ballfields (17 mi-30 min) and Patrick SFB PX, Comm., Class VI (5 mi-11min). Sea turtles are tripping hazards from May to November while taking moonlit strolls on the beach, and more frequent from June (mama turtles) to August (baby turtles). Rockets are about 70/yr, odds better one will happen sometime while you are visiting than the calendar. Many of the vacation rentals do not have a great view but you'd never know it looking at their first picture. Our place is oceanfront, ocean view looking south down the beach. The wifi works well. Floridians would describe the setting as Old Florida. It's in a small, low rise complex called La Vista Del Mar with a loyal following in an area of Cocoa Beach referred to alternatively as Crescent Beach and South Cocoa Beach. Locals view it as a quiet, uncrowded area. 2.8 miles north is the beginning of the shopping and entertainment district. There is a heated pool, heated a bit of a stretch if it is unseasonably cold. The unit itself is modernized. There's good channel selection for the two TVs but most stream these days. There is a queen in the master and twins in the bunk room. There is a dressing area and makeup table. The kitchen has full size appliances including two that are conspicuously absent in a lot of short term rentals, a dishwasher and the frig has an icemaker. The unit comes with an assigned garage, though a pickup, van or SUV may have to brave the elements and in peak season there may be no general use spots. The building does not have an elevator, and this one is second floor. Updated and right on the beach with a pool so the best of both worlds. The beach is quiet and private…never busy in all the years I have come to this condo building. The location is great- it is on a nice quiet stretch of cocoa beach. You are just steps away from the beach! We even got lucky and saw baby sea turtles making their voyage to the ocean after hatching- it was so amazing. The beach felt almost private. Hardly anybody there. It was small but had everything you need and was clean and tidy. The beach chairs were nice to take out on the beach and enjoy the ocean.
